We found a beach resort that offers all the pleasures of a tropical paradise situated in Cabangan, Zambales. Travel time from Manila is about 5 hours.

This resort has all you need for an amazing getaway and is just a 2-minute walk from the uncrowded beach.

Can we also add that it is in the ideal location for sunsets?

Casa Garcia has everything you need for a comfortable stay in Zambales, including air-conditioned bedrooms, a kitchen with all the necessary appliances, and 2 bathrooms (one inside and one outside the resort).

DISCLAIMER: The water supply in the resort comes from the saltwater during summer (March to June only), except for the shower.

Whether you’re looking to unwind after a day exploring the nearby town, or simply relax and soak up the sun, their outdoor pool is the perfect spot to do it. The resort’s pool is one of its most notable attractions. You can also use their floating tray if you want to feel like you’re in Bali – floating breakfast it is!

NOTE: Breakfast is not included in the package. But you can cook inside since their kitchenwares are complete. If you opt not to cook, there is a carinderia nearby.

The resort has a lot more to offer than just its stunning pool, as evidenced by the rooftop balcony, which offers breathtaking views of the adjacent mountains and farmland. There’s a place here in the Metro located at the City of Stars, Quezon City, called Aria Gastropub, where you can chill and relax without the expense of going out of town.

The place has a great summer chill ambiance that you can’t resist coming back to. We personally recommend this place not only because of the place but also because of the great and sumptuous food they offer.

Here are some of the food we will never regret recommending:

Calamares (290 PHP)

Very tasty and the breading is not too thick. It does not overpower the taste of the soft and tender squid.

Mushroom Fritters (250 PHP)

A healthy snack with crunch and has a balance of saltiness. Best paired with their vinegar dip!

Crispy Kare-Kare (695 PHP)

An all-time favorite. A heartful dish with its thick sauce, crunchy vegetables, and crispy pork. All the textures play a different and satisfying role that harmonizes with the taste and flavor of the sauce.

Oyster Rockefeller (395 PHP)

Fresh and not overly done. With the saltiness of the cheese and the freshness of the oyster, there’s nothing more to say about this food. A must try!

New York’s Finest Pizza (590 PHP)

Can we call it Aria’s finest? Just kidding! But seriously, a classic, crunchy, and well-balanced toppings. What we love about it is that it’s not greasy at all, so once you eat it, you’ll never lose your appetite.

Ceasar Salad (495 PHP)

Balance with its dressing and the fresh taste of the veggies. It’s a good way to refresh the buds, very flavorful!

Truffle Pasta (350 PHP)

A salty and sweet combination that tickles the taste buds. This creamy and well-balanced pasta will definitely satisfy your cravings.

Mango Peanut Crepe (250 PHP)

Fruity sweet as a dessert? Why not? Not that sweet, and grazing your palette with a not-so-strong mild taste of mango.

They also have different drinks that will surely light up your senses and feel the great vibe around the place and giving you that “Elyu vibes”.

Aria Gastropub is located on the 4th floor of the TRX Building on Congressional Avenue, Quezon City. They are available on Waze and Google Maps too!

They are open from 5:00 PM to 2:00 AM from Tuesday to Sunday. They are closed every Monday.

We found a good Korean restaurant with a hint of Pinoy taste in it. SamgyupKing made its grand re-opening last November 27. They are located at the Level 4 of Fishermall in Quezon City.

They offer different kinds of meat, from salt and pepper pork to marinated one. They also have seafood like shrimps and scallops.

The balance of beef and pork meats and the fat of the cuts were spot on and the taste of the marinade has a nice blend into it.

So here’s the twist, they have skewers! Not just skewers but Pinoy streetfood skewers. They have isaw ng manok (chicken intestine), pork BBQ, chicken BBQ, tenga ng baboy (pig ears), tumbong ng baboy (pig’s butt), longganisa, and corn cub.

These skewers were nicely and cleanly prepared. You know that it’s fresh and clean from the taste of it, having an odorless smell and without the sting of bitterness from unwanted meat.

The meat binds well with their different side dishes from kimchi to lettuce, they kept it intact and without confusing add-ons. Just pure decadence, simple as that.

This unlimited food offer comes with 1 glass of your choice (milk tea or iced tea) to complete the experience. You can also avail a bottle of soju for only 199 PHP each.

A great way to cap it off. Note that kids 3 ft and below are free of charge and if the child is 4 ft, you only pay 50% of the original price.

Peri-Peri is now open in Robinsons Antipolo

The best way to spend the weekend is with family. Good food, laughter, and the never-ending stories of the past week make the bonding even better.

Speaking of good food, Peri-Peri Charcoal Chicken and Sauce Bar will always undoubtedly make the cut. The restaurant opened another branch in Robinsons Antipolo last October 23.

A free whole chicken awaits the first 30 customers; a successful event that made the people mob the place and willingly fall in line to taste the great food of Peri-Peri.
