We all know that SM North is one of the popular SM branches here in the Philippines. As a result, it has various restaurants inside that make us have a hard time choosing where to eat.
Here in this post, we will share with you a list of some of our go-to restaurants and cafes in SM City North EDSA.
One of our favorite go-to restaurants. Definitely because of their buffalo wings, which we loved! By the way, they just renovated it, and we loved its new look!
One of the cheapest Michelin-starred restaurant in the world. Originated in Singapore, now they are here in Manila! The tender beef and chicken plus the noodles are perfect combination.
Wonder why they always have long lines? We found out the reason why. The food are really affordable and it tastes really good! Didn’t really expect that the prices here are cheap. Must try their Gyudon!!!
Ramen Nagi
Location: Upper ground floor, Main Building
We love ramen so much, and one of our favorite ramen houses in SM North is Ramen Nagi. Not just one of the famous but one of the best!
Looking for a romantic restaurant with instagrammable interior? This is the perfect place for you! The food was good but a little bit pricey, I guess, you pay for the place and the service. Must try!
Craving for some wings and steaks? Here is the perfect place for you. Price is cheaper than Frankie’s, but if you’ll ask us what’s our favorite between the two, our answer would be FRANKIE’S. But their steaks are good!
Nostalgic! Our favorite donut way back in childhood now comes in a bucket with a chocolate dip! If you haven’t tried this yet, this is your chance now!
Now I know why souffle pancakes are hype! They are so good and fluffy! We can’t even stop eating their pancakes. Plus, the drinks are the bomb, especially the carbonated drink!
This ice cream house is originally from Sydney, Australia. They are famous for their sea salt ice cream. We loved the colors and the taste of their ice cream! Perfect for dessert!
How about healthier milk tea drinks for you? This milk tea shop is originally in Hong Kong. Their drinks are refreshing and new to our tastebuds. Not the usual milk tea taste, but why not give this a try? You might also love their flamingo floaties there!
Greens you can trust? There’s no other than Go! Salads. We honestly loved the salads and smoothies here. Also, they serve Vegan ice cream and healthy paninis. Let’s get back into shape, yes!?
The first digital cafe in SM North! Visit them and get your customized drinks and fluffy pancakes here. Not only that, try ordering using the I-pad on each table! When we say it’s digital, we mean it!
Finally, they open a Muji branch in SM North. In addition, they opened a cafe as well. Must try their Ichigo Cafe Mocha. They also offer rice meals like curry and a wide variety of pastries. You can also buy some coffee merch inside their cafe.
This is the Ramen Curry Set from Hakata Ton-Ichi. We got 1 ramen of our choice and 1 katsu of our choice for 420 PHP. We got their Red Ramen and Pork Katsu. The curry was good and the ramen was okay. But their fruit teas are so light and refreshing!!!
How about an unlimited hotpot, grill, and buffet?! Finally, the long wait is over, Hosaku International Buffet is open! We loved the cool conveyor belt and high-tech table here! Also, the place is spacious and well-ventilated.
Listed as one of the instagrammable milk tea shops around the Metro. Black Sugar has opened a new branch in Ayala Malls Manila Bay. We already went to their first branch which is located in McKinley West. If you want to check our review there, kindly clink the link here.
What I really loved here is the interior. I loved the branch in Ayala Malls Manila Bay than in McKinley West. The chairs and the backdrops are so extra.
I can’t help to take some pictures in this place. Just look some of the outputs:
Aside from the place, the drinks and snacks here are absolutely good and delicious. From the wide variants of drinks to rice meals and snacks and desserts, they have it!
For the drinks, I really liked their cups because it’s also reusable.

Looking for an affordable soufflé pancake? You don’t need to worry because the famous soufflé pancake in Taipei is now finally here in Manila.
Even though their stall is a bit small, I enjoyed their pancakes and drinks so much! What I loved about their pancakes? It is so fluffy, airy, and almost melts in your mouth!
Making of souffle pancakes
We had their Milk Tea and Creme Brulee soufflé pancakes. We really tasted the milk tea flavor, loved this! For the latter, just an opinion, hope they will improve their presentation. It doesn’t look enticing but it is so good, promise!

If you want to try the other flavors, here is their menu:
For the drinks, we tried one of their carbonated drinks, the Lychee flavor, and it was so refreshing! Highly recommend this drink especially if you’re a soda lover. For the Milky Marble, it is just a typical milk tea drink.

So happy to be back in Maginhawa. Its been a while since we visited this place. And we’re glad to share our new discovery in the area!
How about another milk tea place, uhm? Oh My Tea offers Taiwanese and Thai milk teas.
The store is not that big and it also comes with a burger joint inside the store. There is nothing special in the place but there drinks are exceptional.
Attaching below the menu of Oh My Tea…
Now, we will share to all of you the must try drinks at Oh My Tea.
THAI RED MILK TEA
Medium – 99 php; XL – 109 php
Not your ordinary milk tea. The thai tea taste is really strong. Not applicable to those who are sweet tooth.
GOLDEN SUGAR BUBBLE DRINK
Price ranges from 115-125 php
Love this one! At first glance, it looks too sweet because of the brown sugar, but it isn’t. It just tastes right. Plus the tapioca cooked well.
WHITE RABBIT CANDY BUBBLE DRINK
120 php (16 oz); 135 php (22 oz)
Now this is what you called creativity! What’s up, millenials?! This candy brings back our childhood. And we must say, they pull it off! We can really taste the white rabbit candy! Ian was even asking me how they made this drink.
And now, they have this new drink! And we are sure that everyone will love it! Who doesn’t love oreo by the way?!
OREO OVERLOAD
Medium – 130 php; XL – 165 php
Look at that generous amount of oreo and cream cheese! So good! Everyone must try this!
Expectation VS Reality!
I must say, it exceeded our expectation huh!

Happy to be back at one of my favorite milk tea shops here in the Philippines, Juice Cubi Philippines. But not in MOA because they just opened a new branch in Taft.
Between MOA and Taft, the space in MOA is much bigger than Taft branch. The only difference is that in Taft, they have a mezzanine.
Mezzanine area
Since we’re invited in their Media Launch, they prepared us some snacks.
Of course, we wouldn’t miss to try their drinks! They have 6 series to choose from.
MONSTER SERIES
The cup used here is reusable. Once you bring it on your next order, you’ll have a 10 php discount. Amazing, right?
Cloud 9 (150 php)
Starry Night (160 php)
Dark Knight (160 php)
Our favorite from the Monster Series is their Starry Night which changes it color when you pour a lemon juice on it.
CUBI SERIES
Cubi Strawberry (190 php)
Love the bottle! This one is also reusable. You can also put hot drinks here. For the flavor, you can really confirm that the fruits they use are fresh!
BLENDED ICE SERIES
Both drinks are our fave! The Minty Choco taste like “Dynamite” candy. Brings back our childhood. The Mangolicious is so refreshing.
FRUIT TEA SERIES
Lemon Kumquat Yakult (130 php)
Grapefruit Overload (130 php)
My favorite here from the Fruit Tea Series is the Lemon Kumquat Yakult. According to our server, Kumquat means calamansi. This is so refreshing.
CARAMEL CHEESE SERIES
CC Milktea (120 php)
The cream cheese is to die for. A must try, indeed!
MILK TEA SERIES
Cubi Special Milk Tea (160 php)
Taro Black Sugar Milk Tea (130 php)
Their Cubi Special Milk Tea is one of my favorites also in Juice Cubi because they use yogurt instead of the usual milk. We also tried their Taro Black Sugar Milk Tea and surprisingly, it is so good. Not too sweet and has a bit coffee taste.
And we have a good news for you, guys! This January 13 is their Grand Opening Day and they have wonderful promos for all of us.
You can also read our 1st experience at Juice Cubi – SM MoA here.
So happy to be back at this instagrammable cafe in QC! If you missed it, I already went here last June. Check out my experience here!
This time, Ian was with me so I have some pictures in the cafe. Pookaberry Cafe is known for its instagrammable mural wall all over the place. The place was designed by one of the owner, Peter Marco, which is a known pop artist in New York. In fact, they have a branch there!
Want to see a glimpse what’s inside the cafe? Here!
Yes, the cafe is small but you can also stay outside the cafe since it has tables and chairs there. The second floor is only for private event such as party or any celebration. Yes, you can book and inquire to them. They are very accommodating!
Now, why I came back at Pookaberry? Because I heard that they are releasing new dishes! Excited to share it with you. So, let’s start!
As starters, they serve us these appetizers!
Empire State Tower Nachos (200 php)
Disco Fries (89 php)
One of the owner of Pookaberry, Ms. Jeanette, collaborate with Ms. Camille, owner of Veggie Guys. They came out with the idea of serving plant-based food in the cafe, which is perfect for vegan peeps out there!
PBP Sampler (349 php)
What’s in their PBP Sampler? For only 349 php, you get to taste the following:
Smokey Broccoli
Buffalo Cauli (fave!)
Spam Fries
Eggplant Mojos
These are just appetizers, wait for the brunch menu!
Ube Champ (99 php)
Wondering what’s the topping of the Ube Champorado? It’s actually a NORI! Yaaaas! First time to taste this and it’s so good!
Cashew Kare-Kare with Rice (150 php)Pineapple Fried Rice (199 php)
Just add 50 php for toppings (tofu squares, vegchon, spam).
In case you didn’t know, their rice meals before were served in a big plate and has good plating. The only cons of it was it’s kinda pricey. So they launched a new version of their rice meals. Now, they are called UGLY RICE BOWLS.
Ugly Rice Bowls (All for 149 php only)
You may choose from the following rice bowls:
Adobo Rice Bowl
Uncle Sam Breakfast Bowl (fave!)
Breakfast ni Juan (fave!)
Kabute Rice Bowl
They also now have UNLIMITED WINGS FOR ONLY 299 PHP!
Unlimited Wings (299 php)
Here are the flavors of their unlimited wings:
Brooklyn (sweet, savory with a kick)
Manhattan (fruity habanero with a twist)
Bronx (buffalo style)
Long Island (lemon butter and parmesan cheese)
Soho (soy and garlic)
And yes, they now also have Wagyu Platter!
Wagyu Platter (299 php)
One of the crowd favorite also is their Special Chili Mushroom Spaghetti!
Special Chili Mushroom Spaghetti (299 php)
Of course, we will not miss the best seller PANINIS in the cafe. When you say Pookaberry, paninis will always be the first in the list because of the big servings and unique flavors of it.
Here are the flavors of their Paninis:
Avocado (fave!)
Porkloin
Adobo (fave!)
Of course, we also got some refreshing drinks from Pookaberry! They are serving hot and iced drinks inside.
One of the reasons why I love this cafe because their drinks have unique names like their iced beverages.
Also, if you guys want to help, you can donate some goodies inside this box to help Project Pearls, one of the charity foundation of Ms. Jeanette, to help the children who are in need.
Is coffee shop your favorite hangout place? We found a newly opened coffee shop along West Avenue…and it’s not just an ordinary coffee shop because it’s also instagrammable.
View outside of the coffee shop
Just a hint, they opened last October 5 and they are just beside Sambokojin!
As we opened the door, our face were in awe. The place is spacious (as in), the ambiance is relaxing and cozy, and the aroma of coffee will welcome you.
Let me tour you around on their 1st floor.
Aside from these, the tables and chairs are also comfortable and relaxing. Each table has its customized name of the shop.
If you’re looking for some good spots for your IG feed, go to their 2nd floor… You’re welcome! Lol
Love the interior all over the place. And yes, since it’s a coffee shop, they have fast internet connection.
Now that we’re done with the tour, we’ll head over to the food and drinks they offer…
As of this writing, they offer sandwiches, salads, and pastries for the snacks and limited drinks selection such as milk tea and coffee. But according to their staff, they will be having rice meals soonest.
To start, here are the food and drinks we got from Q Cup!
CREAM CHEESE SERIES
They have five flavors but we only got 4 here: Oreo (155 php), Ube (155 php), Matcha (185 php), Chocolate (155 php). All were good but our top picks here were the Ube and Oreo!
Who doesn’t love cream cheese?! What if we tell you that here in Q Cup, you have 3 ways to enjoy it.
#1 Open the half moon lid and tilt the cup 45 degrees. Drink top & bottom layers together to enjoy your drink
#2 Open the half moon lid and use shovel to enjoy the cream cheese first
#3 Open the half moon lid and use shovel to mix top and bottom layers together
Watch our short tutorial here!
SANDWICHES
Love the presentation of the sandwiches. Very inviting plus it comes together with chips.
Margherita (129 php)
This is one of my favorite from the sandwich selection. Love the fresh tomatoes inside and not to mention the melted cheese! Yum.
Clubhouse (239 php)
This is our top pick from the sandwiches. The chicken is not overcooked. Loved the fresh and crisp of the lettuce.
BLT (209 php)
Love the combination of the bacon and the lettuce. The bacon has smokey taste which we loved.
BREWED COFFEE
Since the specialty here in Q Cup is coffee, we didn’t miss the chance to try one of their brewed coffee. The one we tried was imported from Singapore. And we loved it!
We saw how the coffee was made via GINA. It’s an award winning coffee instrument.
HOLIDAY TREATS
Coffee Jelly Float (180 php)
Tired of the usual coffee jelly that has whipped cream on top? What if we tell you that here in Q Cup, they put vanilla ice cream instead of whipped cream?! YES! And this is lit! The coffee jelly is a winner also! This is a must try!

You can also feed and take pictures with these birds.
And then here’s the wild animals!
We also rode a cable car! Look at the wonderful view. It’s almost sunset when we did it.
Cable Car costs only 150 php good for 2-way already. After that, we went straight to the venue of the Dinner of the Dark.
DINNER IN THE DARK
It is already on its 5th year now. Zoomanity group, one of the leading companies in the park industry, offers a unique experience to have your dinner in the dark.
Originated in Switzerland, it aims to raise awareness in visual impairment and for everyone to understand what it feels like to live in a world where lights are off, permanently.
HOW IS IT DONE?
Before the dinner, participants will be oriented about the do’s and don’ts inside the room. Afterward, participants will be given a blindfold to cover their eyes to experience total darkness, no peaking allowed!
While entering the room, your group will be assisted by admirable guys that are visually impaired, and they will guide you towards your table. By the way, the room is in total darkness as in there are no lights on while in the middle of the event.
Ready for the dinner in the dark!
After everyone is settled, it is where the fun starts! You will be eating your dinner without seeing and knowing what it is unless you taste it. But don’t worry, they are using a system to eat, which I will not tell you guys, for it is better experienced first hand.
Before dinner
After dinner
Accompanied with good music, played skillfully by another awesome guy, the event is truly exceptional.
REALIZATIONS
But beyond the fun and excitement while eating, it was those guides and those visually impaired people made the experience more interesting and worthwhile.
Thank you ate Nida for accompanying us all throughout the dinner.
For 30 minutes, I felt how hard it was for them. I realized how an everyday walk for some of us, is equivalent to a journey for them not knowing where their goal is.
The overall experience was an eye opener.
BLACK MAGIC SHOW
After an inspiring dinner, we head to watch the Black Magic Show which was their theme for the month of November, because you know, scary November.
And as the name suggests, the next few minutes filled with awe and thrill.
The show was comprised of magic tricks, magnificent dance numbers, precise acrobatic stunts, and a collection of scary characters that will pass through the isle, making you scream and shout.
They wrapped it up by mingling with the crowd, taking and sharing photo ops for the gram.
This coming December, as they say, “Winter is coming.” They will be showcasing a white magic show, guess you want to let it go and go there.
Those two events was a good combination of entertainment and inspiration. A good serving of realization that darkness is not as bad as everybody think it is, cause you’ll need it eventually to appreciate what light truly is.
