One of the places we went during our anniversary were the Bodhi Mind and Body Shopand Bodhi Cafe and Librarythat is located inside La Bella Tagaytay.
ABOUT LA BELLA TAGAYTAY
This Santorini-inspired haven is located in Brgy. Neogan, Tagaytay. This is a one-stop place because you can do all things here. Indeed, a lifestyle with infrastructure.
One of the amenities inside La Bella are the Bodhi Mind and Body Shop and Bodhi Cafe and Library.
BODHI MIND AND BODY SHOP
By the way, the word “BODHI” came from the name of a tree which is Bodhi Tree, wherein Gautuma Siddharta “Buddha” had his enlightenment.
It means, inside this shop, you can have a peaceful time looking or buying some essentials for yourself.
Done shopping for your essentials? Take some relaxation in their Cafe & Library! Yay.
Before going to the cafe, this will welcome you upstairs… NOTE: Don’t forget to take many shots here, okay?! HAHAHA.
Now you’re on the second floor, you can finally see the glimpse of the cafe and library…
And now, let’s go inside the library… Actually, it’s not a library because the shelves here are locked. Huhu *sad* I guess, it’s just part of the design of the place.
Outside the shop, you can also sit for a while. Relax and feel the cold breeze in Tagaytay…
Note that there have NO ENTRANCE FEE here. If you wish to take a dip at their infinity pool, the fee is 150 php per head.
Where to eat in La Bella?
El Cocinero, a Spanish restaurant that serves authentic Spanish cuisine.
How to get there?
From PITX, take a bus bound for Nasugbu/Alfonso (via Tagaytay City). Tell the conductor to drop you off at Radar. From there, you can walk for about 5 minutes to La Bella.
Last March 4, I was invited to became part of the Clark to Puerto Princesa (CRK-PPS) inaugural flight of Royal Air Philippines.
ABOUT ROYAL AIR PHILIPPINES
Royal Air Charter Service Inc (RACSI) is a Philippine-registered air carrier that was established on August 22, 2002. They provide domestic and international nonscheduled airline and cargo services between Clark and Macau, and Kalibo and Macau.
As of this writing, they have only terminals in Clark, Caticlan, Puerto Princesa. Soon in Manila and Bohol.
Before checking in, we had the opportunity to take some shots at Clark International Airport while waiting for the program to start.
After some photo ops, we head straight to the check-in counter to get our boarding pass. Yey!!!
After checking in, we got our boarding pass and food stub.
Also, they gave us a heart sticker for VIP (bloggers, media partners, etc) which I found cute.
Here are some of the Royal Air staff verifying our boarding pass before entering the boarding gate.
Well, it’s my first time at this airport and I found Clark International Airport small. Also, the atmosphere was really humid inside.
By the way, you need to pay 150 php for the terminal fee.
Inside the boarding gate, we had some snacks while waiting for the program to start. After few minutes, the program begun. The program started with the speech of the CEO of Royal Air Philippines, Mr. Ed Novillas.
Disclaimer: Excuse my photos since it’s against the light. Hehe
After his speech, ribbon cutting, slicing of the cake, and photo ops happened next.
After the photo ops, we just waited for our boarding time. Around 12:30 PM, we started to board in the plane.
This aircraft can accommodate 97 passengers on-board. Now, let’s take a look inside the aircraft.
During the flight, they will give each passenger a complimentary light snack. In fair, I like their empanada. Yum!
After 1 hr and 10 mins, we arrived at Puerto Princesa. Since it’s my first time here, I didn’t waste time. I took as many pictures as I can. Even though we only had few time left here. HAHA.
Upon arriving at the PPS airport, we were welcomed and entertained by these people. They also gave us a welcome necklace that made from seashells.
After some photo ops, we head straight again to PPS check in counter and getting ready to board again. HAHA.
After we got our boarding pass, we immediately went to the boarding gate of PPS Airport to witness the inaugural flight program, but this time, it’s PPS-CRK.
Again, the program started with the speech of Mr. Ed Novillas, CEO of Royal Air Philippines. Then, it was followed by Ms. Aileen Amurao, tourism officer of Puerto Princesa.
After the speech, ribbon cutting, slicing of the cake, and photo ops were happened next.
After that, it’s time for some snacks. It’s a nice way to end our day trip with a good and yummy snack.
Before heading home, they gave us some goodies. Thank you Royal Air and City Tourism of Puerto Princesa!
Overall, we had a great time covering the said event. It was a success! Congratulations, Royal Air Philippines. We’re excited for more additional destinations, soon!
This blog post is still a part of our anniversary celebration. Sorry for the late posts though. HAHA. So by the way, on our 2nd day in Tagaytay, we had brunch in a restaurant. But it’s not only an ordinary brunch. Why? Because it’s BUFFET! Here, I will list down the things I love about D’ Banquet Bakeshop and Restaurant.
ABOUT D’ BANQUET BAKESHOP AND RESTAURANT
So basically, it is a buffet restaurant that offers wide variant of food, mostly Filipino dishes. It started last March, 2010. If you’re going to Pink Sisters, you might want to pay a visit after church since it’s near from the church.
Here are the things I love about this restaurant:
1. Weekend buffet
They offer buffet lunch every Saturday and Sunday from 9:00 AM-3:00 PM. The buffet rate is only 599 php per head.
While on weekdays, they only offer ala carte for every customers. Note that they only accept CASH.
2. Wide variants of food choices
You’ll have a problem choosing on what to eat. But it’s okay, since it’s buffet, you can go back to try every food from time to time.
They have soups, salads, rice, Filipino dishes, pancit and pasta, pastries, drinks, and fresh fruits.
3. Spacious & garden-inspired interior
Aside from the good food they offer, it also has a spacious dining area. You can choose to dine in at their al-fresco dining area or in their air-conditioned/function room. Since we love to try something new, we opted to choose the al-fresco dining and to enjoy also the cool breeze of Tagaytay.
4. Accommodating staff
One thing I noticed was they have an awesome staff. From entering the place, they will immediately assists you in to your seats up to the buffet area. Their manager, sir William, is also super hands-on to them. Kudos to the staff!
5. It has a coffee shop inside
After pigging out to the buffet, why not sip a coffee right? It’s cool also to find a coffee shop inside a buffet restaurant. Also, the coffee they brew here is the famous coffee in Tagaytay. So it’s a must try indeed!
6. The famous Amira’s Buco Tart Haus
I noticed also that the people going here is always looking for Amira’s Buco Tart Haus. This is one of the famous tart haus here in Tagaytay. We also had a chance to try one of their best seller which is the Buko pie. And oh, it was really good!!!
7. It has a pasalubong center
Before leaving the restaurant, pay a visit to their pasalubong center. Here, they have the best pasalubongs from different provinces from REGION 4. Yes, you read it right.
8. Strategic location
Did I tell you that this is located along highway? If you’re coming from Aguinaldo Highway, it’s located near Pink Sisters. Don’t worry, they have a big signage outside the restaurant.

The food they serve are good. It’s actually my first time to ate in a restaurant in Tagaytay that offers buffet, especially Filipino dishes. Also, I will recommend it to everyone who will visit Pink Sisters Church, since it’s near in the area. After church, why not have a buffet lunch, right? Don’t worry, they have a parking lot inside.

One of our accommodations in our 3-day anniversary celebration was located in Amadeo, Cavite. It’s a 30-min ride from Tagaytay. I really insisted checking-in here. Why? You’ll see the reason later. But for now, I’ll introduce you first to Ruby’s Place (former Casa Del Sol).
ABOUT RUBY’S PLACE
As I’ve said a while ago, it was the former Casa Del Sol. One of the famous places located in Amadeo because of its style, which is boho-inspired.
We already went here last 2018 but only as customers to their restaurant, Casa Del Sol-Casa De Amor. Read our full experience here. We went here at daytime but still in awe of its interior. Little did we knew that we will be more in awe when it’s nighttime.
We decided to ate here for dinner although we can order our food from our villa. But because we want to experience the ambiance at night, we still push through and it’s worth it. Look!
It’s just kinda sad because there’s no live band when we went here. HUHU. By the way, here’s what we got for our dinner. The food was better than our first time eating here.
Now, let me introduce you to our room! Our room is named as Mahal Kita Villa. You can book this room at AirBnb. If you want to have a big discount from AirBnb, you can sign up here and get a 1,600 php discount on your first booking.
Check in time: 2:00 PM
Check out time: 12:00 NN
ROOM
Just a tip, the signal is kinda weak in the room. They have a wifi but only have limited data. They also have TV with ABS-CBN TV Plus. So expect that some channels are not available. Also, they have a walky talky inside the room. I think it’s cool! Because nowadays, phone is mainstream. Its been ages since I saw one. HAHA.
BATHROOM
Yes, all villa has bath tubs! It’s just kinda weird because it’s open. I mean, there’s no roof in the bath tub area. HAHA. I’m panicking while taking a bath. I think there’s someone up there, JK. By the way, it comes with free towels and toiletries.
OTHER AMENITIES
They have some books and board games too. If you feel hungry in the middle of the night, they offer some food inside too. Of course, you have to pay for it. It also comes with a complimentary bottled waters and coffee. Oh, before I forgot, you also have a complimentary breakfast for 2! YAY.
How to go there?
FROM MANILA
Take a bus bound for Tagaytay. Alight at Silang Premier Mall. Ride a tricycle and tell the driver to drop you off at Brgy. Halang, Casa Del Sol.
FROM TAGAYTAY
Go to Mahogany Intersection near NBI office. Ride a tricycle and tell the driver to drop you off at Banay-Banay Alfamart. From there, ride a tricycle again and tell the driver to drop you off at Brgy. Halang, Casa Del Sol.

We definitely had fun staying here because of its instagrammable interior. Although they still need to improve some of their services, but overall, it was still a good experience. If I will visit here again, I want to stay in their bigger room which can accommodate 20 persons!
Since Tagaytay is our favorite go-to destination, we decided to spent our anniversary celebration here. We stayed and explore Tagaytay for 3 days and of course, our main target were restaurants. Hihi.
For our 1st night in Tagaytay, we had our dinner in a Spanish restaurant inside La Bella Residences.
ABOUT EL COCINERO
As I’ve said, this is a Spanish restaurant that is owned by Chef Arnaldo Limeta, born in Nasugbu, Batangas but trained his skills in Ibiza, Spain for 10 years. Wow! Imagine that?! So expect that the food that they will serve here are definitely awesome and good.
What I loved about their restaurant aside from its delicious food? IT’S ALSO INSTAGRAMMABLE!
This is what will welcome you upon entering the restaurant. Beautiful painting at the wall at the 1st floor…
Wait, until you get into their 2nd floor!
Yep! Their wall is Picasso-inspired murals and paintings. I really enjoyed staying here rather than in 1st floor.
But if you want to enjoy the cool breeze in Tagaytay, try their al-fresco dining area instead.
Now, let’s go to their food. Since we were still full fom our late lunch in Aozora Restaurant, we decided to order a pizza and an appetizer only.
El Cocinero Pizza (410 php)
We loved the pizza here. It’s also one of the best seller dish in El Cocinero. The crust is thin and crispy, just the way we liked it.
Croquetas de Pollo (115 php)
Thought the serving were huge but it isn’t. Hihi but overall, this one was good enough. Crispy on the outside and soft inside.
Also, we had Malunggay Juice (85 php) and Cucumber Juice (85 php) but we forgot to take some pictures because we want to eat already hehe. But the juice were refreshing!

Just a reminder, this restaurant is located inside La Bella Residences. So I suggest, if you’ll stay at La Bella for a night, please visit El Cocinero and try their authentic dishes as they are really good. Though the price is quite expensive, it will do justice because of the service and the quality of the food.
Last Saturday, we went on a Saturday night out with friends. I really need that because I’m too stressed at work lately. Thank God it’s a long weekend. And our chosen location that night was the newest KTV bar located along Congressional Ext. Few minutes away from my work. Yay!
ABOUT MONKEY MIC
This is said to be the first modern gastropub KTV in Quezon City. They opened last 2016 and now starting to make noise as they offer good food, service, and place.
I’m so stoked upon entering their place. Their interior is so simple yet very entertaining.
Located in the lounge is their mini bar area.
Note that their room rate is 70 php per hour/pax. Also, no minimum person per room. But I suggest that you avail their packages instead.
Before entering the KTV area, strike a pose in this beautiful hallway. Perfect for your instagram feed. Lol.
Let’s go and see what’s inside in their KTV area.
By the way, all the food we had were super good! We ordered all their best sellers and they didn’t disappoint us! Here’s what we got:
Toasted nacho chips on the side of baked carnitas, salsa, beans, mushrooms and olives, topped with melted cheese
Herb and butter, garlic and mussels topped with two kinds of cheese and a drizzle of cilantro dressing
Hungarian sausages, bacon, meatballs, drizzled with sriracha sauce and sour cream
Roasted beef belly with sauteed mushrooms and gravy, served with cherry tomato confit and buttered veggies
Grilled pork liempo in a kilawin coconut vinegar with mixed vegetables
We definitely enjoyed our stay here singing, eating, and bonding! Yay! 🙂

Last January, Ian and I celebrated our 8th anniversary as a couple in our favorite go-to destination in the South, Tagaytay. We spent 3 days in Tagaytay so we really maximized our time visiting new places and restaurant. LOL. Yep! We’ve been there so many times yet we keep on coming back. We consider Tagaytay as our second home. <3
And for our first stop, we had our late lunch in a Japanese restaurant, Aozora Japanese Restaurant.
ABOUT AOZORA JAPANESE RESTAURANT
This is said to be the first authentic Japanese restaurant in Tagaytay. Aozora is a Japanese word which means “blue sky“. They named it that way because in here, you can experience good food with a good view/ambiance. They also known as “The place where your taste meets the sky.“
By the way, they only have two branches as of now, both located in Tagaytay. Here’s the address:
Branch 1: Tagaytay-Calamba corner SVD Road, in front of Discovery Country Suites, Tagaytay City
Branch 2: Purok 157, Tagaytay-Calamba Road, Sungay East, Tagaytay City
We went to Branch 1 since we’re more familiar with the address rather than the other one.
When you open the door, you will feel its Japan-vibe already because of its interior and design. They have a mezanine too!
They also have few seats outside. If you want to enjoy the cool breeze in Tagaytay. Hehe.
They even have a sushi bar too!
Now, let’s stop here. Let’s go to the main event. The food!!! Since we had our late lunch, we we’re really hungry so we ordered many food.
DISCLAIMER: There were only two people who ate all of these food. HAHAHA.
APPETIZER
Gyoza (280 php)
I super loved the serving of their gyoza. So huge! Not your ordinary gyoza, plus it was really good! HUHU. I want their gyoza again. Pls send me some. JK.
MAKI
Dragon Maki (385 php)
Kudos to them! I super loved the plating but loving more the taste!!! I’m really not a fan of maki but this one is exception! Super good. Nothing can go wrong with kewpie! YUM!
FRIED
Tonkatsu (295 php)
I felt quite bad about their Tonkatsu. I don’t know if it’s because of the sauce. HUHU. But Ian told me it’s not that bad. I guess my palate that day was not for Tonkatsu hihi.
RAMEN
Aozora Ramen (350 php)
Of course, we won’t forgot Ramen! And because we’re in Tagaytay, why not try their Bulalo Ramen, right? Very creative idea by the chef. It really tasted like Bulalo! I loved how they cooked the Tamago (egg). The bulalo and noodles were so tender! And of course, the soup was so heavenly good.
DESSERTS
Mango Tempura (190 php)
That time, their mango was not that sweet but I think that was okay. It compliment the vanilla ice cream. One serving is already enough for two person. But we had two order of these so spell MATAKAW? HAHA.

Filipinos love eating food, no doubt with that. Especially when you put twists on it, right? Last Saturday, we went on a Tapsishop along Quezon Avenue. But let me share why this tapsishop is different from the others.
ABOUT THE TAPSISHOP: HOME OF KINGSILOG
This food establishment serves Filipino all time favorites, which is Silog (sinangag at itlog) and grilled products. It’s basically popular in Rizal but now making noise in Manila up to date. All the ideas came from the owner himself, Paul Allan Cruz. But this branch was franchised by young entrepreneurs, Jimmy Miranda and Lan Comia.
Their Kingsilog is the best seller here. It includes 2 cups of rice, 2 fried eggs, 1 serving of tapa, and in addition, the customer can choose 2 more dishes to complete the Kingsilog.
Their new branch is located along Quezon Avenue and EDSA. Its location is very strategic because many people are passing by in the area.
This branch can accommodate 30-40 people inside. Its ventilation is quite okay because its open.
Wondering how much is the food here? Check out their menu here! So affordable!
Now, let’s go to the food. Here’s what we got.
We got all their combo meals which we found it cheap yet so good! Sulit talaga!
KingSiLog (143 php)
2 cups of rice
2 fried eggs
1 serving of tapa
2 additional dishes: BBQ and Pork Shanghai
Seriously, their tapa was good! It’s not salty, it’s actually sweet. That is tapa we know, right? The BBQ and Shanghai were also good. Such a steal for 143 php!
PuKingSiLog
2 cups of rice
2 fried eggs
1 serving of tapa
2 additional dishes: PuSisig (Pusit with Sisig) and Lechon Kawali
This combo meal is funny because of its name. I loved the owner’s creativity. But seriously tho, their PuSisig is out of this world! I never thought this combo would be possible. It’s actually good! Their Lechon Kawali was still crispy after few minutes it was served to us!
QueenSeaLog (143 php)
2 cups of rice
2 scrambled eggs
Calamares
Buttered Tahong
Bangus
Their Bangus has breading so it doen’t look like one at first sight. Hehe. I liked their Calamares, by the way!
For the drinks, we had blue lemonade and cucumber juice to freshen up us after the feast!
They also have a challenge inside! Might you’re interested! Come join! LOL.

It’s only 3 days before the Valentine’s Day. Me and my boyfriend just had our early Valentines date. Hihi. How about you, guys? Do you have any ideas where to take your dates this Valentine’s? Don’t you worry because I’m gonna share our experience dining at Tapella Restobar located in Greenbelt 5.
ABOUT TAPELLA RESTOBAR
This restaurant started since 2009. They are serving mouthwatering Spanish cuisine that made by their well-trained chefs. Aside from that, the ambiance of their restaurant is so cozy and homey. Their classy dining interiors are so comfortable. Not to mention their beautiful background songs.
This coming Valentine’s Day, they have an ongoing offer for couples who want to satisfy or maybe try their palette with Spanish cuisine. They called this offer “A complete Valentine Dine for 2“. All the dishes that will be served are prepared by Chef Xandra who’s been also making a big comeback.
You can choose between “Meat Lovers” or “Fish Lovers” set. This includes the following:
TAPAS
Anchovy/Apple Sauce on baguette
Mixed Mushrooms on baguette
Chorizo-Potato
For the appetizer, I loved how the ingredients compliment each other. My favorite was the Anchovy/Apple Sauce.
SALAD
Mixed greens, walnuts, goat cheese in balsamic dressing
For the salad, they will give you 2 plates of it. I liked the caramelized walnuts, I swear! It compliment the balsamic dressing. This was Ian’s fave just for the record!
PAELLA
Iberico Ham Paella
Judge me all you want but it’s my first time to try Paella. HUHU. But fortunately, I’d liked it so much. Ian told me that Paella basically consists of seafood but we had ham this time. For me, it tasted like a pasta and I really loved it. Definitely my fave!
DESSERT
Chocolate X
Chocolate ganache with olive oil
This one is super good and delicious. Such a perfect way to end the day. The ganache has an extraordinary salt that made the chocolate more powerful and flavorful!
By the way, we had the Fish Lovers set to have a healthy Valentine date. LOL.
Lapu Lapu with tomatoes & aubergines
The fish cooked perfectly so it tasted so heavenly good. Every bite was so tender. Ian also loved it. We also overheard a Japanese customer compliment the fish so I guess, it was that really good.
To complete your Valentine’s Day, why not have a carafe of red or white wine, yes? Since we had fish, we got their white wine since it’s a perfect pair for each other.
If you want to have a garden-kind-of-date, why not try their al fresco dining area? The ambiance there is so relaxing because of the fresh air.
This Valentine offer runs from February 8 until March 3 so book your reservations now!
If you want to try their other dishes, check out their menu here:

Here in the Philippines, you can taste any cuisine from different countries such as Western, Asian, etc. Up to date, the most popular food for millennial are Korean and Japanese food. Whenever you go to any malls, Korean and Japanese restaurant and stalls are everywhere. No wonder why Filipinos are loving their food.
One of the booming dishes today is takoyaki from Japan. It is a ball-shaped snack made from wheat flour-based batter and cooked in a special molded pan. Its filled with the following:
minced or diced octopus (tako)
tempura scraps (tenkasu)
pickled ginger
green onion
To make it more appetizing, they topped it with takoyaki sauce and mayonnaise. Then sprinkled with green laver (aonori) and bonito flakes.
Yaki is derived from Yaku which is one of the cooking methods in Japanese cuisine, meaning “to fry or grill”. We personally saw how takoyakis are being cooked when we went to visit their food stand named Tako Depot.
ABOUT TAKO DEPOT
This food stand is located inside a food park named Urban Flavors Food and Events Place. They just launched last December, 2018. It is owned by a young Filipina entrepreneur. Even though it is owned by a Pinay, all the ingredients used are fresh and shipped from Japan. That’s why they have this slogan, “The Taste of Authenticity”. What I loved more about them is that they put twists in their Takoyaki by adding more flavors from different cuisines.
Urban Flavors Food and Events Place
Look at their food stand, you can really identify what are they offering because of their cute logo, a baby octopus. #cutie
For their menu, it is already indicated at the side of their stall. You’ll notice that it’s kinda pricey but I’m telling you, it’s all worth it! They are also delivering in some selected areas via GrabFood and HonestBee.
Now, let’s go to their food. As I’ve said a while ago, they put twists in their takoyaki by adding more flavors. Have you tried takoyaki with bacon and cheese? How about takoyaki with quail eggs? HAHA. Are you shocked? Yes, you read that right. They have it here!
Let me introduce each flavor to everyone…
CLASSIC TAKO
Tako, benishoga, tenkasu, negi, cabbage topped with bonito flakes, nori, Japanese mayo. and your choice of their own house blend sauces
CLASSIC WITH QUAIL EGG
Tako, azura tamago, benishoga, tenkasu, negi, cabbage topped with bonito flakes, nori, Japanese mayo, and your choice of their own house blend sauces

I super loved their food. To be honest, I’m not a fan of takoyaki because I had a bad experience of eating takoyaki way back in college that’s why I don’t ate takoyaki for years. Ian just convinced me to try again, and thank God for Tako Depot because my trauma for takoyaki were now gone! Seriously, every bite will lead you to happiness. I just hope they will put more stalls to be more recognized because they deserve it.
