Since we badly miss traveling, we had to share our Bohol trip wayback 2016 to lessen the sadness due to the recent pandemic (COVID-19).

And since these photos were taken in 2016, some of the photos were maybe different to present.

Maybe today, there’s more tourist attractions in Bohol that we didn’t visit yet back then.

Tagbilaran Airport

Who else here are taking a picture at the airport for remembrance? Hehe. The airport in Bohol is not that big compared to other airports in the country, though we’ve been only in Caticlan, Kalibo, Clark, Puerto Princesa, and NAIA.

We stayed in Bohol for 5 days and 4 nights. I must say that this is enough to explore Bohol. You can also do a sidetrip to Cebu via ferry for about an hour only but we didn’t try.

Enough with the story, we will now share some of the famous tourist attractions in Bohol that you need to visit!

CHOCOLATE HILLS

Location: Carmen, Bohol

famous tourist attractions in bohol

This was a bucket list to me since I was seeing this before in textbooks only. Finally, I saw these beautiful hills with my naked eye. In addition to that, we also ride an ATV and explore around the Chocolate Hills.

famous tourist attractions in bohol

This was part of our island hopping tour in Panglao. We also visited Balicasag Island and did snorkeling. By the way, the sandbar here fades quickly. In this place also, we tried this snack in the area. I forgot the name. Please comment below if you know hehe

This was one of my favorite experiences in Bohol. We spent our lunch here in a floating restaurant. We enjoyed the view, food, and the entertainment. We also did a short stopover to witness the locals dance and sing.

This was my only pic of tarsier that was awake. All of them were sleeping the time we visit them. Luckily, I got a decent pic!

LOBOC CHURCH

Location: Loboc, Bohol

famous tourist attractions in bohol

This 400-yr old church collapsed due to a 7.2 magnitude earthquake happened last October 2013. What a beautiful disaster! I wonder what it looks like today?

BACLAYON CHURCH

Location: Baclayon, Bohol

famous tourist attractions in bohol

This is the oldest church in Asia. This was also part of our countryside tour in Bohol. One of the beautiful churches I’d been to.

MAN-MADE FOREST

Location: Bilar, Bohol

famous tourist attractions in bohol

This magnicifent place is part of the reforestation project that started in 1947 and launched in 1953 to stop Loboc watershed deforestation. It has a stretch of 2 kilometers and made with white and red mahogany trees.

BUTTERFLY SANCTUARY

Location: Bilar, Bohol

famous tourist attractions in bohol

Enjoyed this place too as I saw a lot of different and colorful butteflies. And for the photo, they will make you look like a real butterfly in the photo but you have to be creative and I’m not so that’s the output. LOL

And last but not the least, we highly recommend this resort when staying in Bohol. Though this is quite expensive but definitely worth the price, The Bellevue Hotel.

Dalgona Coffee or Dalgona Milo? | Which is better?

dalgona

Since all of us are staying in our homes, all of us know about the trending in social media, which is the Dalgona Coffee.

Saw this first on my Facebook page and immediately checked our kitchen if we have the tools and ingredients needed. Plus, I’m a coffee lover so I’m eager to try this so I did.

DALGONA COFFEE

INGREDIENTS:

  • Coffee (any brand)
  • Milk (any type/brand)
  • Sugar (any type)
  • Hot water

NOTE: Ratio must be 1:1:1 for the coffee, sugar, and hot water.

For the tutorial, you can watch our video here:

VERDICT:

If you are a coffee lover, you will appreciate this. But I’m warning you, this will keep you awake for so long. So better minimize the coffee mixture if you don’t want that to happen. Hehe.

INGREDIENTS:

  • Milk (any type/brand)
  • Milo (1 sachet)
  • All purpose cream (any brand)
  • Sugar (any type)

VERDICT:

Surprisingly, I like this more than the coffee (super love coffee btw). Maybe because I also have a sweet tooth so I appreciate the sweetness of this one.

Did a poll on my Instagram story to know which one thinks they better, and the answer is DALGONA MILO. Do you tried this both? If yes, which one is your favorite?

Go! Salads anniversary promo: Farm Fresh Salads at 99 php each

go salads

Summer is fast approaching. We have to get back in shape so that our body is perfect when we go to the beach. But, how can we get back into shape if we are always hungry?!

But not anymore, we’ll share a tip where you can satisfy your cravings without having any guilt.

go salads

Go! Salads aims to give the best organic and healthy meals and beverages to help us live a healthier life. Each bowl of their salads gives us a hefty serving of nutritious and delicious greens.

go salads

History of Go! Salads

Go! Salads was inspired from serving the guests of the Gonzales family household. It is a staple that there is always salad on the Gonzales table at mealtimes. Whenever guests joined them to eat, they are always amused by how healthy they feel having salad in their diet. By their reactions, it occurred to J.R. Gonzales that not a lot of Filipinos have salads in their own homes. It seemed therefore like there was a need for salad or a need to be and feel healthy. This gave J.R. an idea.

The Gonzales’ have their own farm that produce organically grown greens and other vegetables. J.R. decided to experiment with different dressings and toppings and come up with recipes for salads to sell using the family’s farm produce. He started out by selling from the house to friends, neighbors and referrals. When the orders took off placed by frequent and regular customers, he it took as affirmation that salads and healthy eating was a sure need by the market. J.R. decided to conceptualize a “To-Go” Salad joint. In April 2013, Go! Salads first opened its branch in Katipunan.

And as they celebrate their upcoming anniversary, they have a special gift to all of us. From March 13 to 27, all Farm Fresh Salads are up for grabs for only 99 PHP (regular price is 150 php).

go salads

We tried two of their best-seller salads and it was really good! Not a fan of vegetables but I guess, I found the right one. LOL. I super love their Sweet Caroline because of the honey balsamic vinaigrette.

Was shocked too because it is serve in a big bowl. Promise, I got full after.

During our 2018 visit, the campers area is only open until 10 PM. But today, it is 24 HOURS OPEN! Here, you can literally chill on their beanbags, play board games, read books, cuddle with their colorful bears, and enjoy the view.

3. STAY IN ANY OF THEIR ACCOMMODATION

Kubo Glamping (3,500 php; good for 2 pax)

This is one of their newest room. For me, it’s the upgraded version of glamping. Why? Because it almost look like a normal hotel… but with a view.

valleypoint campsite
Imagine waking up with this view…

Aside from the usual mattress, pillows, and blankets, it also has a TV which you can watch movies because they will give you a flash drive that have lots of it.

Of course, disregard the aircon since you are in Benguet but they have a fan in case.

Tent Glamping (starts at 850 php to 1,350 php per head)

valleypoint campsite

This is where we stayed last 2018. Unlike the Kubo Glamping, you’ll experience here a normal camping in tent. But the twist is you’ll get a wonderful view plus you’ll also enjoy the weather.

Check our photos here: https://thehungrytravelerph.com/valleypoint-campsite-the-first-glamping-site-in-benguet/

Both Kubo and Tent glamping have storage boxes to put your shoes and other things to avoid these in getting wet.

valleypoint campsite

In case you don’t want these kind of rooms, they have normal rooms which is good for sharing.

4. DINE AT THEIR RESTAURANT/MINI BAR

Who wants to eat with a view? Yes?! They offer Filipino food and also they offer buffet every weekend. So don’t miss it! Note that all checked-in guests have complimentary breakfast.

5. ENJOY THE ACTIVITIES

AIRSOFT/AIRSOFT MAZE

When we went here last 2018, this is the only activity they offer. But now, you can do the regular airsoft or with a twist, the AIRSOFT MAZE.

ARCHERY

I came back here for this! I was actually excited when I saw on their Facebook page that they now has Archery. We enjoyed this one. Ian did hit the target. WOW!

6. VISIT THEIR ART GALLERY

This is also one of their newest attraction here in Valleypoint Campsite. Loved the concept and the idea.

7. ENJOY THE VIEW

Of course, don’t miss the breathtaking view. Every second is gold. The view may disappear in just one snap. Look how it changes from time to time.

8. PHOTO OPS IN THE GARDEN

Ever since, I loved this area. Full of flowers and leaves plus the view. Aaah life! You can also chill in one of their kubo.

Yes, they have an area for bonfire. Perfect while sipping your brewed coffee.

What’s new in Kwentong Dagat?

Summer is just a few months away and we know that some of us are already searching and planning where to go and spend this season with family and friends.

kwentong dagat

Here in this blog, we will share with you 10 things about this beach resort in San Felipe, Zambales, which is Kwentong Dagat.

WATCH OUR VLOG HERE:

1. NO BOAT RIDE NEEDED

One factor that people consider when hitting the beach is less hassle. We all know that some of the beaches here in our country require boat transfer. But here in Kwentong Dagat, you don’t need it! Plus, it’s also 3-4 hours away from Manila.

kwentong dagat
View from the resort

The resort is not beachfront but the beach is only a minute walk from the resort.

2. UNIQUE ACCOMMODATION EXPERIENCE

Do you experience staying in a cabin room? Here in Kwentong Dagat, you can experience it! Note that all rooms are fully air-conditioned. Cabin rooms can accommodate 4-6 pax.

One thing that we noticed in Cabin rooms, there are no private bathrooms. But there’s a common bathroom in the resort.

kwentong dagat
Common bathroom

That’s why we decided to stay in one of their newest rooms, which is the Abaca rooms.

This room is perfect for those who want more privacy because it has its own private bathrooms. Abaca rooms are good for 2-4 pax.

Plus, the murals of the room are so pretty. Each room has its own design of murals and in our rooms, the design is leaves. The bathroom is so extra. Look at what’s inside in the bathroom.

For the updated rates as of 2020, kindly see the following photos:

UPDATE AS OF DECEMBER 2021

They have new rooms, which is the Nipa Cabin Deluxe, that is good for 6 persons and has its own bathrooms. Security deposit costs 1,500 PHP and is refundable upon checkout.

3. IT HAS COMPLIMENTARY BREAKFAST

Once you’re checked in, you are entitled to have a complimentary breakfast. Though the breakfast is not that heavy because it just includes bread and coffee.

Before we got our free breakfast, Kuya who screamed “TAHO” woke us up. Note that one TAHO costs 25 PHP each. LOL. To help lessen the plastic, kindly use the mug at the resort when buying Taho.

4. THEY SERVE VEGAN MEALS

It’s the first time that we encountered a resort that serves Vegan meals. Not a fan of veggies but this time, I gave it a try. And it was good! Plus, the food they serve doesn’t look Vegan.

Our favorites were Bicol Express, Afritada, and Humba! Vegan meals cost 275 PHP per meal.

Don’t worry, you can also bring your own food inside the resort. There’s no corkage fee except for alcoholic drinks. They charge 1,000 PHP for drinks. You can also cook your own food in the resort.

UPDATE AS OF DECEMBER 2021

The resort has now its own restaurant and bar inside! But as of this writing, it is still not yet finish but guests can dine in here.

5. THEY ARE ECO-FRIENDLY AND PET-FRIENDLY

We are sure pet lovers will love this resort. Why? You can bring your own pets here. There are also a lot of pets in the resort, such as dogs and cats. What we also liked about the resort is they are promoting to not use plastics.

Guests are allowed to bring 1 pet per room. If you wish to bring more, they have an additional fee of 300 PHP/pet. The maximum number of pets per room is 3 pets.

kwentong dagat

6. PERFECT PLACE TO UNWIND

The whole resort is peaceful. If you want some adventure, you can go surfing. Aside from it, you can also do Yoga here in Kwentong Dagat. The first photo is where they held the Yoga sessions.

You can also celebrate your wedding here. When we went there, some of the guests were there for their Pre-Nups. You can also do your wedding here. How about a beach wedding?! G!

7. PERFECT SPOT FOR SUNSETS

We were amazed! This resort has a perfect spot for sunset! Look at some of our shots during the sunset.

8. THE BEACH IS CLEAN

One thing we noticed too was the beach is clean. They also have garbage cans that have Biodegradable and Nonbiodegradable labels.

9. DON’T FORGET TO BRING YOUR SPORT ACTION CAMERA

Don’t forget to bring your cameras with you to record all the moments and experiences here in Kwentong Dagat. In case you don’t have one, you can now rent a GoPro! We got ours from GoProForRent8.

10. YOU CAN BOOK VIA AIRBNB

You can also find them in AirBnb. You can also get 2,200 PHP discount when you sign up using our link: www.airbnb.com/c/karlaninam

Here’s the link to the rooms in AirBnb: https://www.airbnb.com/rooms/33942468
