Bulalo Point: Must try in Tagaytay

Looking for a perfect place for lunch or dinner in Tagaytay? We found this Filipino restaurant along Crossing Mendez. We weren’t supposed to dine here but because I saw online that this is one of the best bulalo resto in the area, we paid a visit and tried their food.

LRM_EXPORT_20180806_133732-01

Upon entering, you will see long lines waiting to be seated. Mostly, families are dining here. Luckily, we just waited for about 3 minutes only because we’re only two. Yey!

NOTE: They are jampacked especially on weekends. 🙂

In the Internet, they said that Bulalo Point have a good view aside from their good food. But when we had our seat, this is the only view we had…

LRM_EXPORT_20180806_132202-01

Thought we will have a Taal View but nope. 🙁 But it’s okay, I’ll wait for the food instead.

Behind the scene. LOL

Here is their menu, by the way. We got their Special Bulalo (ofc) and Sizzling Sisig. Woooo… and three rice. LOL. They offer Filipino dishes! Would love to try their Kare-Kare next time! Looks delicious. Huhu.

RATINGS

FOOD –

The food was nothing but great. We only ordered two dishes but we didn’t failed. I think we got their best sellers! Woo. Did you know that we took out our leftovers? Yaaas. That’s good their food was!

MY TOP PICKS:

  1. Special Bulalo – Legit af! As in! There is something in their soup that drove me crazy. HAHAHA. And not to mention the bulalo itself, so tender!!! 100% authentic!
  2. Sizzling Sisig – Aaaah. This one also! Super good. Their sisig is different compared to others. Very creamy and you can taste real meat!

PRICE –

The price are very reasonable! I find the bulalo a big serving to us though it serves 2-3 people. I think it can accommodate 2-4 pax.

SERVICE –

The serving time of the food took 15-20 minutes but it gave justice! Because the food was really cooked well and tasted delicious! The staff were quite busy because of the crowd but they still manage to accommodate each and everyone. Plus, NO SERVICE CHARGE!

AMBIANCE –

It’s a casual alfresco place with a homey feels. Why? Mostly families are dining here. The cold weather is a plus point for me!

LOCATION –

Very easy to see because it’s along highway. They have a big signboard so you will find their restaurant easily.

Mushroomburger: A healthier version fast food chain in Tagaytay

I’ve been to Tagaytay a lot of times already. Every time I went there, I always passed by the classic carinderia-look burger shop, Mushroomburger. They said that it is one of the oldest and famous go-to eats in Tagaytay.

LRM_EXPORT_20180806_141616-01

Since our accommodation was quite near to the burger shop (a 10-min walk to be exact), we decided to try their food.

LRM_EXPORT_20180805_230106-01
Our late lunch and early dinner

Upon entering the door, you will feel like you’re in a big carinderia. We went there on Friday afternoon to avoid the crowd but a lot of people are dining here especially on weekends. I think it’s a cheaper option for fast food.

If you will observe the place, it’s still look the same from the first time it was built. They just maintain the cleanliness of the area. I think they want to preserve the classic look of the place that makes it more nostalgic and unique.

LRM_EXPORT_20180806_144033-01

Why did I called them a cheaper version of fast food chain? They looked exactly a fast food chain but cheaper price and a healthy one. Just take a look at this picture. Remind you of something? 🙂

Now, let’s go to the main event. The food…

Why did I say healthy version of fast food? Because mushroom is one of their main ingredients. Note that it is not 100% mushroom, okay?

LRM_EXPORT_20180806_143714-01
Chicken + Canton w/ regular drink (134 php)

Ahhhh, their canton is the best! Very saucy and tasty! You can see that the toppings has different types of mushroom. The chicken was cooked well. The breading was not OA. You can taste it. Very natural.

LRM_EXPORT_20180806_143609-01

LRM_EXPORT_20180806_143250-01

I got their MB King and it didn’t disappoint me! So good. The patty are 50% beef and 50% mushroom. If you’re on a diet but craving for fast food, try this! Also, look at the melted cheese. Waaaa.

Regular fries
LRM_EXPORT_20180806_143511-01
Sago’t gulaman & black gulaman (just add 19 php for upgrade)

Lastly, their drinks! I got their sago’t gulaman while Ian got the black gulaman. But for me, SAGO’T GULAMAN is the winner here! It smells so good and tasted very good! The sago and gulaman were very tasty! I enjoy this drink so much. Too addicting!!! LOL. You guys should try this, I swear!

You can also buy some pasalubong inside.

LRM_EXPORT_20180806_143926-01

If you have kids with you, they also have a playground outside! Very nostalgic feels everywhere in this restaurant! They have swings, slides, and even a wishing well. They have also chairs and tables outside. I think you can dine here if the restaurant is full inside.

RATINGS

FOOD –

I gave 5 stars because why not? It’s a healthy version of fast food. Plus, the food are really good and delicious. I like that they cooked it naturally. Not too much breading and other preservatives. Very guilt-free.

MY TOP PICKS:

  1. Sago’t Gulaman – MUST TRY. Promise! If I will visit Tagaytay again, this one will be on my list!
  2. Pancit Canton – Aaaaah. It’s just so good. The sauce were very saucy! Not to mention their big serving. Thumbs up!!!
  3. MB King – The melted cheese was just so perfect to the patties! This is one of their best seller so you need to write this on your list!

PRICE –

As I’ve said, cheaper version of fast food. No need to worry! Your stomach will be full without breaking your wallet. Very affordable and worth the price!

SERVICE –

This is a self-service restaurant. So you are the one in charge. NO SERVICE CHARGE ftw! The serving time of their food was not less than 5 minutes, I guess?

AMBIANCE –

Although the interior were looked old, you will feel the nostalgic and classic ambiance in this restaurant. Plus, if you go outside, you can bring back the inner childhood with you and have fun in their playground!

LOCATION –

Quite difficult to go here since jeepneys were very rare in the road. But if you’re near in Sky Ranch, you can just walk and enjoy the cold breeze in Tagaytay, just like what we did. 🙂 But it’s searchable in Waze or Google Maps. Don’t worry, they have parking lot inside.

G-Spot Burger Bar: Not your typical burger joint in Manila

Last month, we got an invite from a burger joint somewhere in Sta. Mesa, Manila. Aside from its unique name, what caught my attention is they’re near in my Alma Mater, PUP! Yay. But unfortunately, when we visited the place, we didn’t had a chance to take a visit in PUP since it’s weekends, Sunday to be exact.

So back to the main topic, the name of the burger joint by the way is G-Spot Burger Bar. When I told this to my boyfriend, he was really shookt and laughing hard, like I don’t know what’s funny. He told me to search what G-SPOT is and so I did. And from there, I’ll stop. HAHAHAHA.

Take a look at their menu.

Can you spot Maria Osawa? HAHAHA

Let’s move on and continue to the review, guys. LOL.

We went there at 4:00 PM and while we’re looking for the owner, one of the staff told us that the owner had an emergency so she can’t meet us. Instead, one of the staff assisted us during our stay. While waiting for the food, we started taking pictures of the place.

RATINGS

FOOD –

The food was good! I enjoyed their burgers and the wings! The ribs was good and tasty but kinda tough. The wings were spicy and I loved it! I didn’t enjoy their Johnny Be Good because it has a mustard sauce, not a fan. 🙁

MY TOP PICKS:

  1. Choco Lava Cheese – I never thought that nutella and a burger patty is a perfect combination! I actually ate the whole burger by myself. HAHA.
  2. Hot Wings – I said it was spicy so I really loved this one! I think I had two pieces. HAHAHA.

PRICE –

I was shookt at their menu. The price are really affordable. I guess because it is near in a school. It is perfect for students who want good food. If you’re tired eating at the carinderia, try this one! Worth it 🙂

SERVICE –

The food was served to us was good. The serving time took 10-15 minutes. From time to time, the staff were asking us about the food and if we’re having fun so I guess their service was okay.

AMBIANCE –

The ambiance looks like a garage and cozy combination. They have ig-worthy corners too! Look at my photos. Note that this is an open area and they only have electric fan around the place so expect a humid feels from time to time.

LOCATION –

For me, they have a perfect location! It is near the University belt and very accessible. During school year, it is full of students in the area.

K-Pops: Affordable Korean street food in PH

Korean musics, dramas, and food are really dominating Philippines now. They captured the heart of us Filipino, especially the millenials.

Now, we all know that their food are just around the corner. We’re all familiar with the unli samgyupsal, right? But little did we know that there’s a new craze about Korean food.

K-Pops is owned by a Filipino chef, Lloyd Dolor, CEO of Chef R Us. They personally invited us to try their food. And today, I will let you introduce their food one by one. 🙂

lrm_export_20180715_220948-01
Meet the owner, Sir Lloyd Dolor.

We even met his wife and children. They are so nice and very accommodating to us!

Just a little trivia, K-pops is just a stall not a restaurant. They have branches around the Philippines, from Luzon to Mindanao! Yay!

TIP: They are open for franchise! Just contact them. 🙂

lrm_export_20180715_215742-01

Now, let’s go to their food.

lrm_export_20180715_220739-01
The food that they served to us. YUMMERS

TIP: If you’re being lazy and just want to eat at home. Don’t worry, they are on Honestbee and Foodpanda. Just search K-pops and you are good to go.

The first they served to us was their 25ers, the Korean street food. Why 25ers? Because it is just 25 pesos EACH! Such a steal!

lrm_export_20180715_221112-011
Their 25ers.

MANDOO – 25 php (lower left)

  • Korean dumplings come deliciously fried or steamed. As a street snack, the most likely choice is Kogi mandoo which are stuffed with a gingery minced pork and spring onions.
lrm_export_20180715_220123-01
Look’s what inside!

K-POPPERS – 25 php (upper left)

  • Boneless chicken skewers marinated with savory spices then coated with your choice of sweet and tangy sauce or spicy chili sauce.

KIMBAP – 25 php (middle left)

  • It looks like sushi, but its a Korean cuisine, gimbap-dressed with a seaweed (gim) wrap and glazed in flavor you can almost see. Kimbap are at their most mouth-watering as petite rolls, but they can come in hefty, rice-filled slices, which make a speedy hunger booster. These rolls are popular at street stalls and markets.

GIMMARI – 25 php (middle right)

  • Deep fried seaweed spring rolls are essentially a simple version of Japchae (Korean glass noodles) stuffed in a seaweed sheet. Once the seaweed sheet is rolled up, it is coated with frying batter then deep fried.

EOMUK – 25 php (2nd to last pic)

  • In Korea, fishcake is one of the popular ingredients, used for soup (eomuk-tang), side dish (eomuk-bokkeun), and kimbap (Korean style maki). Especially, eomuk-tang, served on a skewer in broth, is a very popular street food along with ddukbokgi, which people of all ages love.

FRIED ODENG – 25 php (last pic)

  • Favorite Korean fish cake but instead of being served with a broth, it is deep fried to perfection.

ODENG – 25 php

  • Odeng are hot, easy-to-eat fishcakes on a skewer. If you are spice- or meat-shy, this is your street-eat savior. The main flavor is a soft and smooth fishcake, the skewers jutting from steaming vats of broth. This hot soup is a gentle seafood and spring onion-infused broth.
lrm_export_20180715_221703-01
In Korea, this is a cure for hangover.

Now, here’s their other food.

TTEOKBOKKI – 60 php

  • Korea’s popular hot and spicy rice cake.
lrm_export_20180715_220028-01

K-BOWL CHICKEN (in spicy wings) – 145 php

  • Chicken wings with your choice of sweet and spicy sauce or honey garlic sauce served on top of steaming kimchi rice.
lrm_export_20180715_221441-011

BEEF BULGOGI – 120 php

  • Thinly sliced choice cut beef marinated in special sauce served with rice and kimchi. Choose from honey garlic or sweet and chili sauce.
lrm_export_20180715_221225-01

In case you want other food, check out their menu.

RATINGS

FOOD –

I haven’t been to Korea yet but their food was really good and tasty! There is something in their special sauce! TIP: Dip their 25ers in soy sauce or vinegar. 🙂

MY TOP PICKS:

  1. Fried Odeng
  2. Beef Bulgogi
  3. Mandoo

PRICE –

For 25 pesos, I’m telling you it’s such a great steal! After eating those street food, I’m already full. Promise! Give it a try!

SERVICE –

This is an invite so we didn’t experienced their service but they serve the food to us after 5-10 minutes. By the way, the owner is very nice! I hope you can meet him too.

AMBIANCE –

This is just a food stall inside a food park so nothing special here. But as per Sir Lloyd, they are planning to open a restaurant in the near future! Yay!

LOCATION –

This branch is in Cubao, Quezon City but as I’ve mentioned earlier, they have branches across the Philippines. Just find a mall near you 🙂 Or just order thru Honestbee or Foodpanda.

Coffee Project: IG-worthy cafe in BGC

This month, I got an invite from Looloo for my first ever #looloorendezvoosa meet and greet with other looloo reviewers in a specific restaurant. What’s the catch? FREE FOOD! Yay. So I immediately accepted the invite although it’s in BGC, like I’m from QC. HAHA. #FOODISLIFE

By the way, in case you’re not familiar with Looloo, it’s a search-and-discovery/social networking website for IOS/Android users where people can find places (restaurants, resorts, etc), post reviews, find new friends, give place recommendations, and you can even suggest a new place! Users can rate the particular place with one star being the lowest and five being the highest.

Follow me on Looloo: Karla Nina M. #shamelessplug

So back to the main topic, our destination is Coffee Project in Bonifacio Global City, Taguig City.

I arrived to the place before our scheduled time which is 7:00 PM. I received a warm welcome from some of the looloo reviewers. After a little chitchat, I started to roam around and start taking pictures of the place.

Lunch at Olives Restaurant

Every summer, my family makes sure that we have a summer getaway. For two consecutive years, our destination was the surfing capital of the North, La Union.

img_68531
Sunset in San Juan, La Union

Before going back to Manila, we always had our lunch at Olives Restaurant inside the Thunderbird Resort-Poro Point. For those who are wondering, you can enter the Santorini-inspired resort without checking in to their hotels. But make sure that you have a reservation first. Last April 2017, there’s no entrance fee upon entering the gate. But this May (2018), we were shocked when the guards asked us if how are we inside the car so they can give tickets to us and told us that we have to pay 200 php each. At first, we were telling that last 2017, there’s no entrance fee but they explained to us that the 200-php fee was consumable at the restaurant. *sigh*

Just a note, before we went there, we had our advance order already. We gave our orders as we call them for a reservation.

So while we were waiting for our food to be served, we grabbed the opportunity to take pictures around the resort. Yay!

RATINGS

Food – ⭐⭐⭐⭐

I think there’s nothing special on their food. You can taste it in other restaurants.

Price – ⭐⭐⭐

The price for the food is very pricey for me. I think the reason behind this is because of the place and the beautiful view.

Service – ⭐⭐⭐⭐

The service is good. The staff are very accommodating. About the serving time of the food, it takes 10-20 minutes, depends on the volume of your order.

Ambiance – ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

No problem with the ambiance! I enjoyed the view and the restaurant’s vibe. Kinda garden type with a nice background music. Relaxing!

Location – ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

Do I need to explain why is it 5 stars? Dude, it’s Thunderbird Resort! The view you will see is just really beautiful. Also, why are we gonna dine in for 2 consecutive years for nothing, right? LOL.

The Dessert Museum: Satisfy your sweet tooth in the sweetest museum in Manila

I’m really eyeing on this one ever since I saw their post on my feed in Facebook. But unfortunately, the tickets are really pricey. So I patiently wait for their promos and even joined contests (yea lol) just to get here.

Klook.com

383008384_IMG_2683.jpg

Last March 19, they had a promo. For only 550 php, you’ll get a chance to satisfy your cravings in the sweetest museum in Manila today. This promo run only from March 19 to April 4. So I immediately pushed Ian to go with me. HAHAHA. And last March 31, we finally went to one of my favorite museums, I guess? Lol.

383008384_IMG_2512.jpg
Even the tickets were picturesque!

ABOUT THE DESSERT MUSEUM

383008384_IMG_2516.jpg
383008384_IMG_2511.jpg

This is the newest and currently the favorite selfie spot today. It is a 12,000 sq. feet museum that has 8-themed rooms. At first, I thought it’s just only a colorful room designed for sweet tooth and insta-addicts (like me). Hehe. But it isn’t because in every room, they have a colorful trivia about the dessert that inspired it.

Note: Ready your cute OOTD’s guys. It is a must! LOL.

Where to book?

You can choose whether to book online or just walk in. But I highly suggest to book it online.

Walk ins: 799 php

Online: 699 php (just click here)

Travelbook: 680 php (just click here)

Inclusions:

  • 2-hour museum tour
  • 15 minutes in each room (8 mouth-watering rooms)
  • 6 free mini desserts

Note: There is a minimum time only. They are very strict when it comes to booking because aside from the limited time, they also have a minimum number of persons allowed inside (20 people every 15 minutes). This is to prevent the place from being crowded which is a good thing. Plus point for this!

383008384_IMG_2514.jpg
These guys brought happiness to our lives. Let us thanked them. LOL.

Upon entering, they will give you a badge that you will need to claim your free desserts. Take note that in case you lost it, you’ll need to pay 300 php. So take care of it.

383008384_IMG_2618.jpg

8 Dessert-Themed Rooms

1. DONUT ROOM

The most impressive room for me. Who doesn’t love donuts, btw? HAHA. But be careful, the donuts here were solid, as in! I actually hit by some of them. LOL.

383008384_IMG_2520.jpg
383008384_IMG_2525.jpg
383008384_IMG_2541.jpg
383008384_IMG_2538.jpg

You can either walk down the steps or slide into a sugar to enter in this room.

2. MARSHMALLOW ROOM

My second favorite! As you enter, thousands of imitation marshmallows hanging from the ceiling will welcome you.

383008384_IMG_2542.jpg
383008384_IMG_2545.jpg
383008384_IMG_2564.jpg
383008384_IMG_2547.jpg

And, get your 1st dessert! A jumbo marshmallow with a choice of your dip.

3. CANDY CANE ROOM

The cutest room! HAHA. Before entering, you’ll be asked which one do you want—are you naughty or nice? It will lead you through a corridor of either pink or blue candy canes, no worries, you’ll end up in the same room.

383008384_IMG_2560.jpg

You can also swing in this room.

383008384_IMG_2581.jpg
383008384_IMG_2583.jpg

Get your 2nd dessert here! I thought we’re going to have candy cane but we had given French macaroons, instead.

383008384_IMG_2588.jpg

4. ICE CREAM ROOM

I guess this room was (quite) disappointing for me. The lightning was not bright. The room looks unfinished compared to the others.

383008384_IMG_2611.jpg
383008384_IMG_2620.jpg
383008384_IMG_2619.jpg
383008384_IMG_2615.jpg

But don’t worry, you can get your 3rd dessert here. A free popsicle with several flavors.

383008384_IMG_2616.jpg

5. BUBBLE GUM ROOM

I enjoyed in this one too! A giant replica bubble gum machine. You can enter inside with lots of balloons hanging around.

383008384_IMG_2626.jpg
383008384_IMG_2627.jpg
383008384_IMG_2628.jpg

Also, they have some trivia as their wall background.

You can also stand in one of their platforms while a guide will make some giant bubble around you. Yay!

383008384_IMG_2625.jpg

6. GUMMY BEAR ROOM

Giant gummy bears will welcome you as you enter in this room. Gummy bears everywhere! Here, get your 4th dessert, about 5-6 mini gummy bears only.

383008384_IMG_2646.jpg
383008384_IMG_2642.jpg

Aside from gummy bears, they also have mini trampolines and colorful bath tubs filled with colorful balls and toys.

7. COTTON CANDY ROOM

I don’t actually find it cute. Because the cotton candy designs looked like nerves in our body. LOL. Just a reminder, you are not allowed to touch anything in this room because it is more fragile than in other rooms.

Also, you can get here your 5th dessert. Of course, it is cotton candy! Yay. After nth years! LOL.

383008384_IMG_2653.jpg

8. CAKE POP ROOM

And last but not the least, the cake pop room! This was one of my fave room too. You can get your 6th dessert here, a cake pop! Yummers!

You can be Miley Cyrus (wrecking ball pose) on the giant cake pops at the back.

383008384_IMG_2670.jpg
383008384_IMG_2671.jpg

383008384_IMG_2674.jpg
383008384_IMG_2676.jpg

Before leaving the place, they will give you a free balloon and you can shop at their store.

Final verdict:

Is this worth it? In my case, yes! Because millenials like me who’s active in social media will enjoy this. The place is very instagrammable like every corner! I suggest you guys to give it a try! Hehe.

Cafe Congreso: A pastel-colored cafe in Bulacan

Last February 25, we got to visit this pastel-colored cafe in Bulacan, just an hour away from QC. I really want to visit this cafe because of course, content. But just kidding, I really want to experience the ambiance and food here so we gave it a try.

366738176_IMG_2137.jpg
*stolen shot*

Cafe Congreso opened last May 12, 2017. This cafe is really a feast for the eyes because every corner and interiors are very Wes Anderson-inspired. A cafe that looks like the set of The Grand Budapest Hotel, every thing is in pastel pinks and greens with gold accents.

FOOD & PRICE (4.5 out of 5)

366738176_IMG_2170.jpg
The food that we got.

Aside from their specialty coffee, they offer all-day breakfast meals, pastas, pizzas, pastries, and homemade ice creams.

366738176_IMG_2167.jpg

Bacon and Mushroom Pizza (350 php)

The pizza was freshly-baked! Plus point for this! The pizza was good. Though the mushroom they used was unfamiliar to us. It’s not the usual mushroom, I guess. But nonetheless, it was delicious and even made more tasty because of the hot sauce. Hehe.

366738176_IMG_2156.jpg

6-piece Chicken Wings (270 php)

At first, we thought it was a typical chicken wings they will serve. But to our surprise, the wings were big. As in really big, not the usual wings you get in restaurants. Plus, they had excess sauce in it. The flavor was soy garlic. You can really taste the flavor in it.

366738176_IMG_2133.jpg

Blueberry Cheesecake (160 php)

As always, we got blueberry cheesecake for our dessert. It is just a typical cheesecake. There’s no quite difference like the others we got tasted.

366738176_IMG_2149.jpg

Cookies and Cream Milkshake (190 php)

The milkshake was quite too sweet for me. I don’t know if this is a sign of aging. LOL. But you can really taste the cookies and cream inside your mouth.

For the price, it is quite pricey compare to other cafes we visited that offers the same menu.

SERVICE (4 out of 5)

I am surprised for the service they have. It looks like you’re on a fastfood chain because they have a counter inside. You will directly order for your food. But don’t worry, they have no service charge. The food takes 10-15 mins, I guess.

366738176_IMG_2140.jpg
Counter on the right.

For the staff, I don’t know if the other customers inside were regular to the cafe because they accommodate them more than us.

AMBIANCE (5 out of 5)

As I’ve said a while ago, this is really perfect for your instagram feed! Upon entering, you’ll notice that the colors generally used arepastel pink and mint green, with subtle accents of golden brown and teal. Even the staff’s uniform are pastel.

PLACE (4 out of 5)

If you’re coming from QC, all you have to do is ride any van/bus going to Malolos, Bulacan. There is a terminal in Trinoma going to Malolos. The fare is 60 php. Tell the conductor to drop you off at Malolos Crossing. After that, you can directly walk straight to the cafe. From the crossing, it will take 4-5 minutes to get to the cafe.

Kko Kko: The home of Seoul chicken

Since it was Chinese New Year last February 16, me and my boyfriend went on a holidate. We decided to used my 500 gift certificate from Kko Kko because I won from their previous contest.

ABOUT KKO KKO

367386720_IMG_2094.jpg
The Kko Kko logo.

Since Korean dramas, artists, make up, food, etc are becoming more popular nowadays, lots of restaurant and cafes can be found everywhere. This restaurant is owned by Ms. Grace Lee. This is a local Korean chicken house that serves Korean cuisine, of course.

TIP: All their ingredients are fresh from Korea to keep its authenticity.

FOOD & PRICE (5 out of 5)

367386720_IMG_2120.jpg

The food we ordered were all delicious!!! Let me introduce it one by one.

367386720_IMG_2113.jpg

Chicken Cheese Fondue (Half 658 php)

“Melted cheese in a bread bowl with spicy french fries, homemade onion rings, and chicken chunks in chili flavor”

The only reason why I joined their contest. HAHA. I first saw this when we were in Ayala Triangle last December. After we watched the Dancing Lights, we went to Paseo Center Mall for dinner. But unfortunately, we didn’t have enough budget to avail this so I promised myself that I will save money to try this. And finally, the long wait is over. HAHA. Super good my golly!!! I almost ate it. Yes, the whole! Ian was a bit surprised. LOL. The french fries were more spicy than the chicken chunks. Sorry, not a fan of onion rings but it tasted good, too! Definitely my fave!!!! 100%

367386720_IMG_2116.jpg

Dosirak in Beef Bulgogi (238 php)

“Served together with sweet dilis, cooked kimchi, and a sunny side up egg”

This is a traditional “lunchbox” in Korea. Being its our first time here, we didn’t know how to eat this properly. Ian ate it like a normal rice meal. Little did we know that they have instructional video in their TV inside the resto. HAHA. You need to first pour the sauce inside, cover it then shake it. So there. Don’t be like us. LOL. The dilis complimented the beef. Ian enjoyed it so I guess it’s really good.

367386720_IMG_2105.jpg

Raspberry Red Tea & Lychee Green Tea (138 php each)

Very refreshing iced tea. My favorite was the Lychee Green Tea. It tasted like Mogu-mogu. Hehe. But both tasted good!

367386720_IMG_2123.jpg

Red Bean Bingsu (148 php)

“Snow milk-iced layered with red bean and soy powder topped with assorted jellies and mochi”

But when I ate them, there’s only red bean. Like, seriously? This wasn’t really our pick. We want the Mango Cheesecake Bingsu but the server told us that it isn’t available yet. So we picked this instead for our dessert. We didn’t even finished it.

For the price, it ranges from 40 to 900 php. For the complete menu, click here. The price is okay just like the other restaurants here in Metro. But their best seller, the chicken cheese fondue is quite pricey but really worth it. You better try this when going here!

TIP: They accept cash and cards.

AMBIANCE (5 out of 5)

The ambiance was simple yet very relaxing! The color scheme used are giving a light vibe to every people dining here. They also have a photo wall full of polaroid photos and short messages came from the diners. K-pop songs on the background. Very millenial! Such a great move, Kko Kko!

SERVICE (5 out of 5)

367386720_IMG_2121.jpg

The staff were great! Very attentive and polite to all of their customers. They took good photos too!

TIP: They have service charge!

LOCATION (5 out of 5)

We went on their main branch which is located in Pasig. Quite far to our place but the GC was only applicable here so we have no choice. But we didn’t regret it because the place is beautiful.
