Tagaytay has been always my perfect getaway destination whenever I need to unwind from all the stress I’ve been receiving. I went here nth times already but still wanting to explore more. Tagaytay has so much to offer! The famous Taal Volcano, cozy hotels that is perfect for staycation, and even restaurants with good food too (Don’t forget to try BULALO! Its a must here.)
So today, I’m going to post here my review about one of the leading restaurant in Tagaytay, Bag of Beans. I’d only be reviewing about Charito & Main branch only. But I will update it as soon as I experience the other branches too.
ABOUT BAG OF BEANS
As of this writing, they already have six branches that located around Tagaytay City. Now 18 years in the service and counting, they are still one of the best/known restaurant. Their six branches offers different feast for you to enjoy.
FOOD, SERVICE, and PRICE
Main Branch (5 out of 5)
Food is really good. You will enjoy every bite and pieces. The food will give justice to the price. I’m telling you. It’s really worth the price. Ranging from 50 – 1,350 php.
My pick: Blueberry Cheesecake
The cheesecake was really good. I loved how it was so soft and looked like a melted cheesecake. The blueberry really complimented the cheesecake, just right.

Charito Branch (4.5 out of 5)
The food had huge servings compared to the main branch. I was a bit surprised. My order was Grilled Pork Chop (BoB style). The pork tasted too salty for me that I even didn’t finished eating it. I don’t know if its because of the gravy or the pork itself. I tasted a little of their Baby Back Ribs, it was good. The sauce was delicious! The food is still pricey but worth the penny. Ranging from 50 – 1,350 php.

PLACE & AMBIANCE
Main branch (5 out of 5)
Inspite of its 18 years in the business, this branch still manages to maintain their garden theme with rustic interior design. You will really feel at home because of the relaxing and homey ambiance it gives. Every corner is picturesque. Perfect for your instagram feed.
The biggest among the six branches. It has three parking lots. It has also five cabanas for intimate and private dining.
Charito Branch (5 out of 5)
Opened last 2016, named after the owner Charito. This branch is more cozy than the main. With its pefect location, you can have a perfect view of the Taal Volcano. Its more elegant than the other branches because of its French style semi-fine dining restaurant design.
It has three function rooms namely Summer, Spring, and Winter that are great for romantic dates and private dinners. Perfect for wedding events and marriage proposals.
