In case you missed it, we already went here during their soft opening last March 2020, days before the community quarantine happened. 🙁 Because of the pandemic, the grand opening is postponed until further notice. But we are so happy that they are finally opening to the public!

Hosaku International Buffet is under Fredley Group of Companies. Under the same company includes Macao Imperial Tea, NABE, NYFD, and more.

Check out our short video during their soft opening last March 2020.

DISCLAIMER: The following photos were taken last year (MARCH 2020) before the community quarantine happened.

Hosaku International Buffet offers unlimited hotpot, grill, and sushi. It also includes overflowing drinks and desserts.

The place is huge that’s why it looked so spacious and well-ventilated.

What we also liked about their place is because they have this cool conveyor belt. You don’t need to stand up to get your food, well as for your hotpot and grill only. Because there’s more food in the buffet area. LOL!

These are some of the food you can get if you dine in at Hosaku International Buffet. We definitely enjoyed dining here!

hosaku international buffet

The table is high-tech too! Don’t worry if you don’t know how to operate it because the staff are accommodating here.

We’re also amazed at their hotpot griller! The griller can be turn up and down. If you do so, the soup and the ingredients will separate accordingly. Just watch the video to see it for yourself.

For their hotpot, you can choose two soup flavors. We forgot what we’ve tried, but the two tasted great!

hosaku international buffet

For the Yakiniku, the meats are premium and thin cuts that’s why it cooked easily. They also have shrimps that you can grill or you can put it in the hotpot.

hosaku international buffet

In the buffet area, you can find food from Western and Asian countries such as tempura, sushi, fried chicken, japchae, salmon, and etc.

There’s also a dessert area! Take note, this is unlimited also as well as their drinks.

I wonder what are the changes and improvements now that we still have a pandemic, but we are sure that they will implement safety protocols inside Hosaku International Buffet.

WYP: Instagrammable restobar in Makati

WYP Dining

Missing the usual night life in Makati? Why not visit this restobar in Poblacion, Makati? Yes, they are now open but remember that they are still practicing safety protocols such as: scan QR codes for health declaration form and temperature check. Also, don’t forget to wear your face mask and face shield.

WYP dining

WYP stands for “What’s Your Poison?“. This restobar is connected to UNWND Lux Hostel. We went here for our snacks after checking-in at UNWND. We got the whole place to ourselves but we think it’s much better at night.

Watch our vlog here:

We immediately loved the vibes and interiors of the place. Neon lights, upbeat music, good food and drinks. What else are you looking for?

Here are the food we got at WYP: Torta Cubana and Pokpok Wings

This one is huge, by the way! We didn’t finish eating this but this one is delicious and heavy. LOL. It has eggs, cheese, beef, sausages, and ham. It also has chips on the side.

This is also known as Vietnamese chicken wings. We liked it because it is spicy. Don’t worry because its spiciness is tolerable. This is really good! Recommended indeed.

For the drinks, we got Mango Shake and Lemon Juice. Very refreshing and has good presentation.

After eating, they served us some cocktails before we go back to UNWND.

WYP dining

Just a tip, the cocktails drinks we got isn’t available yet in their menu but we are excited to all of you to try these! Super good!

Mother Cure has a citrus taste because it has lime on it. While the Cruel Summer is perfect for ladies because it has strawberry taste. Both taste good and it’s not that strong.

In case you are wondering if they have HAPPY HOUR PROMO, yes they have. Kindly see attached photo below for your reference.

Wine and dine at La Petite Parisienne Manila

la petite parisienne manila

We decided to celebrate our anniversary in Makati. Since we can’t do out-of-town trips yet, a quick staycation will do for now.

We had a quick late lunch at this restobar in San Agustin, Makati, which is La Petite Parisienne Manila. It is a restaurant in the morning and a wine bar at night. In short, it is a restobar in Makati. The only difference from the other restobar is that they have a great interior inside. How about over hundreds of wine bottles for your backdrop. WINE NOT?

The interiors and details are so extra! Can’t stop taking pictures. LOL!

All of the products from La Petite Parisienne Manila are imported from France. They offer over 100 French wines and different kinds of cheese.

We’re so lucky that we had the whole place to ourselves. It felt like we reserve the whole restaurant for our anniversary. LOL! According to one of the staff, we picked the right time and day because there’s a time that the whole place is jampacked.

la petite parisienne manila

PRO TIP: Visit La Petite Parisienne Manila during off-peak season such as weekdays or Sunday afternoon. We went there on a Sunday, around 2PM.

Here’s what we ordered at La Petite Parisienne Manila.

We super liked this pizza. You can really tell that it’s fresh and hand-tossed. The dough is perfect!

la petite parisienne manila
Beef Burgundy

This is one of the recommended menu at La Petite Parisienne Manila. The beef was so tender and it was good overall.

la petite parisienne manila
Red Sangria

We also got Red Sangria that is in a carafe. This is good for 4 persons already but we managed to consume it moderately. LOL.

You can also watch the video below on how we celebrated our 10th year anniversary below:

Fusion Foodhall: Our newest hangout place in QC

fusion foodhall

We went on another chill weekend with friends. But not only that, we also celebrated a special occasion since our two friends got engaged already!

Glad that we found Fusion Foodhall that is located in Quezon City. Note that this is a newly opened bistro. They just opened weeks ago and it is near Welcome Rotonda. If you want to pay a visit, the landmark would be the Mega One Building beside Sun Residences.

Upon entrance, a security guard will ask you where will you going. After that, you have to do a temperature check and they will instruct you the directions going to Fusion Foodhall.

fusion foodhall

This place is perfect if you are celebrating something special. The place is cozy and it has that Japan-vibe because of its artificial cherry blossom tree inside.

It is called such because it looks like a food court with a class. What we also noticed was that the place is very spacious. So you guys are safe if you are strictly observing social distancing.

Aside from that, they also have a mini bar area which also happens to be the entertainment area.

Why called entertainment area? Because here at Fusion Foodhall, you can dance, sing, and play while waiting for your food. And good news, this is all for FREE!!!

This would be the highlight of our visit and our favorite corner at Fusion Foodhall. Imagine, you can sing, play, and dance while waiting for your food for FREE.

Look, here’s a short clip of us dancing. Excuse our loud voices and the dance moves. LOL.

https://www.facebook.com/100001624654223/videos/3746688358728616/

After dancing, the food is served already. And if you are wondering why it is called Fusion Foodhall, it is because they are serving American, Filipino, and Japanese food.

fusion foodhall

The food were all great but the top picks for us were the Gyudon, Kare-Kare, and Tantanmen Ramen. Don’t worry because the price is very affordable. Cozy but not costly!

After eating, you can also get some drinks before going home to complete your stay here. We tried their Adrenaline, one of their signature drinks here and also the Margarita.

Doc Wings Sampaloc is now open!

doc wings sampaloc

Finally, the sixth branch of Doc Wings is now open! Doc Wings opened on December 12 at their new branch in Sampaloc, Manila.

doc wings sampaloc

In case you guys didn’t know, we already featured their branch in Caloocan City which is their 2nd branch. Their main branch is located in Tondo, Manila. The other branches are located in Malabon, Valenzuela, and Quezon City.

Aside from their unlimited wings and rice for only 219 PHP, what we also loved and caught our attention was the interior of the place.

doc wings sampaloc

Each branches has different designs of one of the popular anime which is One Piece. Just look at some of our photos at their newly opened Sampaloc branch.

Given that the food they serve are great, what we really liked about Doc Wings is that all branches are unique. In this branch, the walls are covered in murals and as you can see, if you are a fan of One Piece, you can easily recognize Go D. Ussop arc upon entrance.

doc wings sampaloc

The wings are really consistent in terms of the flavors, still our top favorite is the Garlic Parmesan, followed by the Spicy Mayo and Spicy Buffalo.

Since we still need to practice social distancing, we are happy that they considered the place to be spacious. Each table has a plastic barrier and the place is also well-ventilated.

If you guys are still hesitant to go out yet you want to try their flavored wings, you can also order for takeout/to-go. Tried it also and did a taste test video about it. Check out the video below.

Kusina Luntian: A must visit place in Baler

kusina luntian baler

Before visiting a place, we make sure that our itinerary will be done well. Last year, we visited Baler over the weekend. Beforehand, we searched for some recommended places to visit when in Baler. What caught our attention was this local eatery in Baler. And this is Kusina Luntian.

ABOUT KUSINA LUNTIAN

It is owned by Kuya Biboy, a former Manileño boy who became a local of Baler for the love of surfing. This restaurant is one of the most recommended restaurant when in Baler.

kusina luntian baler

But here’s the thing, it is only a simple eatery in Baler. Not fancy like other restaurants you’ll see in the highway. To make the experience complete, they serve the food in banana leaves and you have to eat it with your hands, no spoon and fork. HEHE.

All of the food we got were super good! As in no joke, we didn’t expect it to be that good. We promise you, this is really a must try in Baler! We loved their food presentation as well.

Our favorite of all time was their Wapang Wapang na Liempo! Swear, this is heaven!!! Also, their vinegar is a winner for us! Plus, their Paco Salad is surprisingly good. Most people knew that I’m (KARLA) not a fan of vegetables, but this one is amazingly good!!!

For the desserts, they have this Nalecheng Biko which looks like a sticky rice. The only difference is that it has leche flan on top instead of mango.

kusina luntian baler
Nalecheng Biko

For the drinks, we had their Calamansi Juice which was a refresher after long hours of travel going to Baler.

You can also buy some of their products such as Banayad Whiskey, chili sauce, and their yummy homemade vinegar!

Daiesumi Digital Cafe is now open for dine in at SM North

daiesumi digital cafe

Finally! Happy to know that Daisume Digital Cafe SM North branch is now open again for dine in!

daiesumi digital cafe

DISCLAIMER: These photos were taken on March (days before the community quarantine).

This is the first digital cafe in SM North, if we’re not mistaken, their main branch is located in Podium. We went here because we were in love with the inviting and colorful interior.

But what we’re amazed the most was the way of ordering here. When we say it’s digital, we mean it! Each table has an I-pad which has their menu and all you need to do is to choose what do you want to order. That’s it!

Aside from that, you can also customize your drinks here. You can put anything you want on your drink just like what we did.

We forgot how we sent the photo but all we remember was they gave us a QR code to scan and it lead us to where we can upload our chosen photo. No additional fee on this one!

We also tried their Blueberry Pancakes, but there’s nothing special about their pancakes aside from it is fluffy. Just our two cents! But they also have bento meals and rice meals in case you want some.

And since Daiesumi Digital Cafe is a digital cafe, you can spend some time here if you want to work or study in peace.

If you are still hesitant to go out but want to try their food, they are also open for takeout and delivery! They are on GrabFood and FoodPanda.

Tikme Dine: Experience the provincial vibe in Quezon City

tikme dine
tikme dine

What if we tell you that this place is a former food park? Yes, if you’re familiar with North Hive Food Park, this is the look of the place now.

The name of the restaurant is Tikme Dine which is a Batangas word and means “Tikman Dito“.

tikme dine

Tikme Dine is under Royalcare Marketing Services, which is an insurance company that caters healthcare, fire, car, and building insurance. Together with Tikme Dine, they also have The Royalcare Garden, The Royalcare Venue, and Super Talipapa Express.

WATCH OUR SHORT CLIP HERE:

Upon entrance, the guard will immediately check your temperature as part of their safety protocols. To all plantitos and plantitas, better get ready as the place is surrounded by plants and trees.

The Royalcare Garden sells different ornamental plants while Super Talipapa Express sells vegetables online.

They also have some nipa huts where you can dine-in if you miss the provincial vibe.

If you’re wondering, they are also open for private events via The Royalcare Venue. As of this writing, their function room is not yet open but they offering this open area for garden weddings, debut, christening, etc.

This area can accommodate up to 50 pax. When we went there, some couples are doing ocular visits for their upcoming weddings.

This view will welcome you as you go to the restaurant…

tikme dine

Note that the place is not yet fully finished. In fact, the balcony area where we dined in just opened the same day of our visit. This place is ideal for a romantic date night.

tikme dine

If you don’t want to dine at the balcony, you can choose to stay at the lanai area.

tikme dine

Before we go on to the food in Tikme Dine, here’s the complete menu of the restaurant. They have ala carte and group meals.

Now, let’s go on to the food they offer. Since the name of the restaurant came from Batangas, expect that majority of the food here are from the said province.

tikme dine

For the appetizer, we tried their Crispy Veggie Okoy. Most of our friends know that I’m not a fan of vegetables. But since I love the regular okoy, I gave this a try. And it was so good! You can’t taste the vegetables in there. Plus the vinegar dip was so good too!

tikme dine
Crispy Veggie Okoy

For the mains, we tried the Beef Wanton Mami. Of course it’s much better if you have Asado Siopao on the side. The beef were so tender plus the soup was flavorful.

We also got to try the Sizzling Bulalong Batangas. It’s our first time to try this kind of food and it was really good. The sauce was flavorful and again the beef were tender.

For the desserts, we had Kapeng Barako and Suman which are famous in Batangas.

You are welcome and safe at The Safe House

the safe house cubao

Since the economy is slowly getting back again, some of the restaurants are already starting to reopen too. And this one in Cubao is an example.

The Safe House, is your newest chill place in Cubao. They just opened last week and with its vibrant look, we must say that this place will really come a long way.

NOTES: Due to the community quarantine, they are strictly observing the safety protocols. They are only allowing 50% capacity of the place. You must reserve a slot first before going there.

the safe house cubao
We just removed our mask for a second for this picture hehe

In our experience, upon entering the place, you must need to confirm first your reservation. After that, you need to fill out a form for contract tracing and a temperature check before you enter the grass area.

NOTE: You need socks if you want to chill at the grass area. If you don’t have any, you can avail some at the counter.

And since it’s also our first time to chill after 7 months of quarantine, we really enjoyed at The Safe House. First, because of the colorful and lively ambiance.

They also have tables and chairs outside the grass area. But unfortunately, since we went there on a rainy weekend, we didn’t have much photos on this area.

At The Safe House, you can either enjoy the live band, watch a movie, or just chill with your family and friends. On the day of our visit, it’s an acoustic-kind-of-night!

the safe house cubao

And since it’s a bar and grill, we ordered some food and drinks to enjoy the night while enjoying the music.

For the Pica-Pica, we got some kropek, dynamite, chicharong bulaklak, and chicken lollipop.

For the Sizzlers, we got Dinakdakan and Sisig but we didn’t have any picture of the Sisig because it was consumed immediately. LOL

the safe house cubao
Dinakdakan (200 php)

All that we got were super good. In fact, it’s gone in a few seconds! Especially the Chicharong Bulaklak. LOL

It’s already too late when we realized that they also have rice meals inside. But since our friends didn’t have their dinner yet, they still ordered after eating the pica-pica and sizzlers. HAHA

the safe house cubao
BaconSiLog (100 php)

For the drinks, we got some tower and some bucket.

We also got to try one of the milk tea shop inside The Safe House, which is Tipsy Tea. We tried the milk tea with Baileys, Khalua, and Frangelico. A milk tea and beer combination! Who’s up?

Here are some other rules at The Safe House:

1. Observe proper dress code—men wearing sleeveless/sando are not allowed inside.

2. No ID, No Entry. Please present a valid ID upon entering.

3. No Face Mask and Face shield, NO entry.

4. Persons with 37 and above temperature will be denied entry.

5. Liquors will not be served to minors (below 18 years old).

6. Firearms and deadly weapons are not allowed inside.

7. No outside food allowed.

8. Observe proper decorum during your entire stay, otherwise, we’ll be forced to ask you to leave the premises.

9. We have the right to refuse entry or ban anyone from entering the premises should we feel appropriate.

Juice Cubi Recto is now open

juice cubi recto

It’s been two months since we featured a milk tea shop during GCQ. And here we are again featuring another instagrammable milk tea shop that opened in Manila.

juice cubi recto

It’s actually our 4th time to feature this milk tea brand which is Juice Cubi. This is their 5th branch here in the Philippines, 4th branch here in Manila. Check out our review in some of their branches.

Juice Cubi – NU MOA

Juice Cubi – EGI Taft

We actually featured their branch in BGC, too. But we didn’t get a chance to visit their place so we opted to have their drinks delivered straight to our place. Check it out below.

So we’re very happy that they opened a new branch in Manila. And so far, this branch is our favorite up to date. Why? Just look at the colorful interiors plus it’s spacious!

This is actually one of the reasons why we love this brand… they have an instagrammable place!

Look at this vanity mirror. So extra!

Second is that they have a wide variants of drinks. And now, we actually got to try their light snacks, too!

We tried their Spiced Chicken Pops, Chicken Calamares, and Egg Waffle. All of these were good!

And of course, we ordered some of our fave drinks! Plus they now have Cookie Brulee Series, and tried their Cookie Crush.

And of course, our forever favorite which is the Starry Night that change its color when you pour a lemon juice on it.
