All of what’s going on right now; the noise, the stress, and the pressure took a toll on us and we all deserve a break from things that are breaking us from the inside.
Luckily, we have found a place where you can rest and leave your worries behind even for just a while.
Kamp Lema is a good place to pitch a tent and appreciate the beauty of nature. Their rate starts at 100 PHP only. This is good for daytour (8 AM to 4 PM). If you want to maximize your stay, we made a list of what you can do at Kamp Lema.
1. ENJOY THEIR UNIQUE ACCOMMODATION
You can rent an already pitched tent with a roof made out of Nipa leaves. Check-in time is 3 PM and check-out time is 12 NN.
INCLUSION OF TENT HOUSE (900 PHP):
- Entrance fee
- Good for 2 persons (200 PHP per additional person)
- With mattress, 2 pillows, and table and chairs
Aside from the usual tents, they also have the A-Habs made out of concrete for a more convenient stay.
INCLUSION OF A-HABS (2,500 PHP):
- Entrance fee
- Good for 3 to 4 persons
- With mattress, 2 pillows, table and chairs, electric fan, own balcony, and view deck
- Complimentary breakfast for 2 persons
They will also open another accommodation, which is the A-House. It is a concrete house that is perfect for big groups. It can accommodate 5 to 10 persons with its own television, aircon, and comfort room. With its grand view of nature, it’s a perfect spot for relaxation. We’re very excited to see its final look.
NOTE: There is no private comfort room at the moment. They only have common and shared bathrooms.
2. RELAX AND UNWIND
Kamp Lema offers a great place to unwind, reflect, or just simply rest. It’s a non-wifi-zone so be ready to not read your e-mails or scroll on your social media accounts. Just appreciate nature at its finest.
UPDATE: They’re applying for a wifi connection for convenience. We hope that it will not spoil the tranquility of the place.
3. SWIM AT THEIR NATURAL POOL
After 137 steps downhill, you will arrive at their natural pool where the water came from the mountains of Quezon. A cool and relaxing feeling that soothes the body with calmness. A cold feeling that brings life into your senses.
4. APPRECIATE THE NATURE
Because of its altitude, each visitors are in for a treat of the breathtaking view of trees and mountains amplified by the cool weather and the fog that is caused by the passing of cold air over moist land. Baguio vibes indeed that’s why some people called the place “Little Baguio”.
5. DON’T FORGET TO EAT
No one can’t deny the fact that a good stay comes with good food at Kamp Lema.
They prepare food upon customers’ order/request. We tried their Bulalo and pancit for dinner. A heartwarming food to enjoy while in contrast with the cool breeze of the night. Also, they have breakfast to welcome you as you wake up, but make sure to make an advance order for it. No one beats good food and a good place. Breakfast starts at 7 AM. For the breakfast, they offer “silog meals” with a cup of brewed coffee.
You can eat inside their pavilion, which is also open for mini program/gathering. The rate is 2,000 PHP for exclusive use.
6. ENJOY THE BONFIRE
At night, if the weather permits, all guests gather to see the bunch of dried branches of wood set ablaze while drinking coffee and/or local beers, eating snacks, or just talking with each other. It’s a perfect spot to feel the warmth from the bonfire while it illuminates the place filled with laughs and conversation as the night goes deeper.
7. PITCH A TENT
Go and become one with nature by pitching a tent and appreciate what it’s like to have exactly what you needed yet, contented and grateful to have an exceeding beautiful view.
They also offer tent pitching inside the place, and the rates are as follows:
- Standard Tent: 250 PHP per person
- Family Tent: 300 PHP per person
8. TAKE GOOD PICTURES
Don’t forget to make the most out of your visit and take pictures to your heart’s content, surely it will be a stay to remember.
9. RENT THE PLACE FOR SPECIAL EVENTS
They are open for team buildings, family gatherings, reunions, birthdays, prenups, and weddings. They also offer EXCLUSIVE BOOKING of the whole place. Just inquire on their Facebook page.
HOW TO GO HERE?
It’s better to take the Rizal route. Manila to Tanay going to Sta. Maria, Laguna all the way to Brgy. Bagong Silang, Real, Quezon. The alternate route will be from Manila to Sta. Cruz, Laguna going to Siniloan. From Siniloan to Sta. Maria, Laguna to Real, Quezon. For commuters, you can opt to take either way, take note that you can only commute until Sta. Maria, Laguna. But don’t worry, Kamp Lema will fetch you at Sta. Maria Municipal Hall.
VIA PUBLIC TRANSPORTATION:
From Manila, take a UV at Starmall EDSA going to Tanay, Rizal. From Tanay, take a jeepney going to Siniloan terminal. Upon arrival at Siniloan, take a tricycle going to Sta. Maria Municipal Hall and wait for Kamp Lema’s service to arrive and fetch you. The estimated travel time is about 3 to 4 hours depending on the road condition.
