Since it was Chinese New Year last February 16, me and my boyfriend went on a holidate. We decided to used my 500 gift certificate from Kko Kko because I won from their previous contest.
ABOUT KKO KKO
Since Korean dramas, artists, make up, food, etc are becoming more popular nowadays, lots of restaurant and cafes can be found everywhere. This restaurant is owned by Ms. Grace Lee. This is a local Korean chicken house that serves Korean cuisine, of course.
TIP: All their ingredients are fresh from Korea to keep its authenticity.
FOOD & PRICE (5 out of 5)
The food we ordered were all delicious!!! Let me introduce it one by one.
Chicken Cheese Fondue (Half 658 php)
“Melted cheese in a bread bowl with spicy french fries, homemade onion rings, and chicken chunks in chili flavor”
The only reason why I joined their contest. HAHA. I first saw this when we were in Ayala Triangle last December. After we watched the Dancing Lights, we went to Paseo Center Mall for dinner. But unfortunately, we didn’t have enough budget to avail this so I promised myself that I will save money to try this. And finally, the long wait is over. HAHA. Super good my golly!!! I almost ate it. Yes, the whole! Ian was a bit surprised. LOL. The french fries were more spicy than the chicken chunks. Sorry, not a fan of onion rings but it tasted good, too! Definitely my fave!!!! 100%
Dosirak in Beef Bulgogi (238 php)
“Served together with sweet dilis, cooked kimchi, and a sunny side up egg”
This is a traditional “lunchbox” in Korea. Being its our first time here, we didn’t know how to eat this properly. Ian ate it like a normal rice meal. Little did we know that they have instructional video in their TV inside the resto. HAHA. You need to first pour the sauce inside, cover it then shake it. So there. Don’t be like us. LOL. The dilis complimented the beef. Ian enjoyed it so I guess it’s really good.
Raspberry Red Tea & Lychee Green Tea (138 php each)
Very refreshing iced tea. My favorite was the Lychee Green Tea. It tasted like Mogu-mogu. Hehe. But both tasted good!
Red Bean Bingsu (148 php)
“Snow milk-iced layered with red bean and soy powder topped with assorted jellies and mochi”
But when I ate them, there’s only red bean. Like, seriously? This wasn’t really our pick. We want the Mango Cheesecake Bingsu but the server told us that it isn’t available yet. So we picked this instead for our dessert. We didn’t even finished it.
For the price, it ranges from 40 to 900 php. For the complete menu, click here. The price is okay just like the other restaurants here in Metro. But their best seller, the chicken cheese fondue is quite pricey but really worth it. You better try this when going here!
TIP: They accept cash and cards.
AMBIANCE (5 out of 5)
The ambiance was simple yet very relaxing! The color scheme used are giving a light vibe to every people dining here. They also have a photo wall full of polaroid photos and short messages came from the diners. K-pop songs on the background. Very millenial! Such a great move, Kko Kko!
SERVICE (5 out of 5)
The staff were great! Very attentive and polite to all of their customers. They took good photos too!
TIP: They have service charge!
