The Unicorn Dream Cafe: A unicorn-themed cafe in Baguio

During our 2-day trip in Baguio, almost 60% of our time were spent in eating. Why not? Baguio City has a lot of good restaurants. So make sure to maximize your time and plan your itinerary when visiting there.

One of our target cafe/restaurant in Baguio is The Unicorn Dream Cafe. It’s a unicorn-themed cafe located in Session Road.

The whole cafe is surrounded by unicorns and rainbow colors.

Aside from the instagrammable cafe, all the food and drinks we tried were surprisingly good! In this post, we will share what we tried in the famous unicorn-themed cafe in Baguio.

Let’s start with their colorful and refreshing drinks. At first, we thought that their drinks were only instagrammable but little did we know that all of it were super refreshing!

Our eyes were happy because of the instagrammable place. Also, our tummies were full because of the food and drinks. I highly recommend this cafe in case you’re going to Baguio. We’ll assure you that the food were good.

Pookaberry Cafe new dishes: Plant-based food + Unlimited wings

So happy to be back at this instagrammable cafe in QC! If you missed it, I already went here last June. Check out my experience here!

This time, Ian was with me so I have some pictures in the cafe. Pookaberry Cafe is known for its instagrammable mural wall all over the place. The place was designed by one of the owner, Peter Marco, which is a known pop artist in New York. In fact, they have a branch there!

Yes, the cafe is small but you can also stay outside the cafe since it has tables and chairs there. The second floor is only for private event such as party or any celebration. Yes, you can book and inquire to them. They are very accommodating!

Now, why I came back at Pookaberry? Because I heard that they are releasing new dishes! Excited to share it with you. So, let’s start!

As starters, they serve us these appetizers!

Empire State Tower Nachos (200 php)
Disco Fries (89 php)

One of the owner of Pookaberry, Ms. Jeanette, collaborate with Ms. Camille, owner of Veggie Guys. They came out with the idea of serving plant-based food in the cafe, which is perfect for vegan peeps out there!

What’s in their PBP Sampler? For only 349 php, you get to taste the following:

Smokey Broccoli
Buffalo Cauli (fave!)
Spam Fries
Eggplant Mojos

These are just appetizers, wait for the brunch menu!

Wondering what’s the topping of the Ube Champorado? It’s actually a NORI! Yaaaas! First time to taste this and it’s so good!

Just add 50 php for toppings (tofu squares, vegchon, spam).

In case you didn’t know, their rice meals before were served in a big plate and has good plating. The only cons of it was it’s kinda pricey. So they launched a new version of their rice meals. Now, they are called UGLY RICE BOWLS.

They also now have UNLIMITED WINGS FOR ONLY 299 PHP!

Long Island (lemon butter and parmesan cheese)
Soho (soy and garlic)

And yes, they now also have Wagyu Platter!

One of the crowd favorite also is their Special Chili Mushroom Spaghetti!

Of course, we will not miss the best seller PANINIS in the cafe. When you say Pookaberry, paninis will always be the first in the list because of the big servings and unique flavors of it.

Of course, we also got some refreshing drinks from Pookaberry! They are serving hot and iced drinks inside.

One of the reasons why I love this cafe because their drinks have unique names like their iced beverages.

It’s Christmas already at Nuel Cafe!

Ber months has come! Here in the Philippines, when September comes, that means Christmas has started. You can hear Christmas songs already. Yes, we, Filipinos, are excited like that when you say Christmas.

Just recently, we visited a restaurant in Mandaluyong. This is not your typical cafe or restaurant, because we felt like king and queen for a night inside at Nuel Cafe.

Just wanted to inform you that this theme is not for good. This is just for Christmas season, but usually, it still extra because of the royal vibe ambiance of the restaurant.

The owner of this majestic restaurant is a lawyer. You will notice a “lawyer” sign before entering the restaurant.

Now, let start the tour with their beautiful lobby.

The restaurant itself is small. So in case it is still full, you can wait here and take some shots with their christmas trees like we did.

Now, let’s go inside to try the royal cafe experience! Are you excited? Coz’ we are! Hehe.

You will be greeted by one of their staff that is suited like you’re in a castle. Look! NOTE: They are only accepting CASH.

If we’re not mistaken, there are only 5 big tables inside the cafe. This is a perfect place for corporate events such as meetings. You will feel comfortable inside too. Just be careful because you might broke some things inside. Hehe. That’s one of their friendly reminder inside. You can also borrow their crowns too that comes in different designs, sizes, and colors.

Now, worrying about the price inside? No, you don’t have to. Here at Nuel Cafe, you will experience a royal food in a very affordable price! We’re also shocked when we saw the menu. Super affordable!!!

Would love to go back again and experience the usual theme here at Nuel Cafe. Would like to try also their other dishes. The tapa was so good. The meat was tender and flavorful. The pasta also is my favorite. Love also the idea that they are not using plastic straws. Yey! Again, they are accepting CASH only. If you are more than 4 pax, you need to book a reservation. Also, they are open on WEEKDAYS only.

Overall, we had fun here at Nuel Cafe. Affordable yet quality food plus good ambiance are what we are looking in a restaurant. You must go here now. Especially, now that Christmas is coming very soon.

Pookaberry’s Cafe: Newest pop art coffee shop in Kamuning

It’s been a while since I went to an instagrammable place. I think the last time was in Ruby’s Place. So last June 5, I went out and visit this newest pop art coffee shop in Kamuning.

ABOUT POOKABERRY’S CAFE

This 2-story coffee shop opens last May. It is owned by the couple Peter and Jeanette Marco. This is their first branch here in the Philippines because they have one in New York, USA.

I really fell in love with the place. The whole cafe is covered with colorful drawings that made by the New York Pop Artist Peter Marco. It is filled with drawings of Ollie the Octopus and its imaginary friend Pookaberry, the Alien baby.

You can have private events in their second floor. Just contact them for more inquiry.

Upon entrance, there’s a gift shop where you can buy for some souvenirs.

TIP: Part of their sales goes to Project Pearls, which means helping poor children here in the Philippines.

For the food, they offer breakfast meals; drinks such as coffee and frappe; paninis; cookies; cakes. Price ranges from 80 to 300 php.

For our starter, we had these toast bread with different kinds of dip. The jam has spicy-kick, which was Chili Mango and Chili Orange.

Overall, I really love the cafe not only because of its ambiance but also for its advocacy to help people who are in need. So drop by here if you’ll be in the Kamuning area. My favorite food from them were the cheesecakes, cookies, and paninis. I also love their breakfast meals. The drinks were very refreshing and good!
