Whisper with Wings: Unli wings and Fries for only 250 PHP

It’s our first time in Tondo and we must say that if you’re up for some food adventure, then visit Juan Luna Street, Gagalangin in Tondo, Manila. There are many food establishments that are perfect for us foodies.

And for our first stop, we went to Whisper with Wings. They are located on the 2nd floor of Mang Nato’s Tapsilogan. It is near St. Joseph Church and in front of Villarica Pawnshop.

They offer unlimited wings, unlimited fries, unlimited rice, and unlimited juice for only 250 PHP (updated rate as of February 2021).

The wings are quite bigger than others. For the wings, you can choose from the following flavors:

Our favorites were the Jalapeno Truffle, Pinoy Style BBQ, Garlic Mayo, and Crispy N’ Dip.

For the fries, you can choose between Cheese, BBQ, and Sour Cream. You can also mix 2 flavors on one plate.

For the ambiance of the place, we find it cool because of the retro vibes inside and it has cool backdrops on the wall.

BIRTHDAY PROMO

Birthday celebrant can eat for FREE as you have a valid ID to present as proof. You can avail the birthday promo on the day of your birthday.

They also have a leftover charge of 20 PHP per wing. Then another 20 PHP per 50 grams of fries. And another 20 PHP per cup of rice so be careful about having leftovers.

Children below 3 ft. is for FREE and should be accompanied by one full paying adult each. Senior citizens and PWDs with IDs will only be charged 200 PHP per person.

Doc Wings Sampaloc is now open!

Finally, the sixth branch of Doc Wings is now open! Doc Wings opened on December 12 at their new branch in Sampaloc, Manila.

In case you guys didn’t know, we already featured their branch in Caloocan City which is their 2nd branch. Their main branch is located in Tondo, Manila. The other branches are located in Malabon, Valenzuela, and Quezon City.

Aside from their unlimited wings and rice for only 219 PHP, what we also loved and caught our attention was the interior of the place.

Each branches has different designs of one of the popular anime which is One Piece. Just look at some of our photos at their newly opened Sampaloc branch.

Given that the food they serve are great, what we really liked about Doc Wings is that all branches are unique. In this branch, the walls are covered in murals and as you can see, if you are a fan of One Piece, you can easily recognize Go D. Ussop arc upon entrance.

The wings are really consistent in terms of the flavors, still our top favorite is the Garlic Parmesan, followed by the Spicy Mayo and Spicy Buffalo.

Since we still need to practice social distancing, we are happy that they considered the place to be spacious. Each table has a plastic barrier and the place is also well-ventilated.

Ironpan Steakhouse: Affordable and delicious steaks in Manila

Never did I imagine that I will find an affordable steak here in Manila. If you’ve read my blog about Mixedstone Steak and Wings, I’ve said that it’s a fusion of Ironpan Steakhouse and Chicks and Fins.

Just this weekend, we were able to experience their mother branch, which is the Ironpan Steakhouse. They have 2 branches up to date, and we went to their main branch in Sampaloc, Manila.

They are located on the second floor of a building…

What I’ve noticed first upon entering the place was the space is quite small. It has 4-6 tables only. I guess it’s jam-packed here during weekdays especially on lunch and dinner time.

For only 135 php, you can enjoy a decent steak with rice, sides, and gravy. The gravy here is so good. It has a spicy-kick which I loved. Also, all sizzling dishes are serve in an iron pan. Cool!

If you’re not a fan of steaks, they have other dishes too, such as pork, chicken, and vegetables.

The Sisig here is different from the Sisig we tried at Mixedstone. I liked their Sisig here more.

Both of these were a hit! Must try especially the Chicken Franchezka! Their sauce are amazingly good!

And of course, after tasting this at Mixedstone, I can’t miss to eat this! The Sizzling Natong!

DESSERTS

Of course, we also tried their desserts! I really wanted to try their Rice Cake but according to their staff, it’s not available so we chose the Cheesecake Flan instead.

One piece is good for sharing already. So order wisely. HEHE.

I highly recommend this because aside from its affordable price, the food here are definitely awesome and good. As in no joke, for its price, its SULIT. Perfect for students who are near the area (U-belt). Also, they have a branch in Taguig!

Skete Milktea Laboratory: Newest milk tea shop in Quiapo, Manila

Looking for a new hangout place with your friends around Manila? Well, we’ll recommend a new milk tea place for you.

They recently opened last August and still on soft opening. They are planning to do the grand opening before October ends (mid-October).

The place itself is cute. I like the ambiance especially their model logo, which is a corgi. HAHA. They also have a cute backdrop beside the counter where you can have some photo ops.

The only sad part is that it has a limited seating capacity. Hope they will expand it soonest. But nonetheless, the place is good for a quick hangout time with your friends.

Now, let us introduce the food and drinks inside Skete Milktea Laboratory. They serve milk teas, fruit teas, and other refreshing drinks. They also have pastas and finger food that comes in a very affordable price.

Let us start with the drinks. They first served us their Cream Puff Series. Available in Medium (16 oz) and Tall (22 oz).

We liked them both but for us, the Chocomalt is the winner. Perfect especially if you’re a chocolate lover. Also, perfect for kiddos! Both is instagrammable. LOL.

They also have Yakult Blend Series. We got their Passion Yakult that has natas and edible Passion Fruit seeds. And if you’ll ask us if what will be our number 1 drink here, it will be the Passion Yakult. YOU MUST TRY THIS!

Now, let’s go to the Milk Tea with Pearl Series. We got different flavors and in different sizes. They are available in Petite (12 oz), Medium (16 oz), Tall (22 oz), and Giant (1 L).

In this series, our favorite will be the Thai Milk Tea.

Their Wintermelon Milk Tea is also good. Note that you can add sinkers like we did. We add Rock Salt & Cheese for only 20 php.

Now we’re done with the drinks, we’ll be presenting their snacks and finger food.

For starter, we got their Nachos. This is one of our favorite also. Perfect partner with the Passion Yakult.

They also have Potato Twist that comes in 3 flavors (BBQ, Cheese, and Sour Cream).

The next one is really the bomb! This Cheese Bombs are so good and cheesy! Must try!

For their pastas, we had the Chicken Ala King, Al Pesto, and Spaghetti Bolognese. For me, Al Pesto was the winner but for Ian, it was the Spaghetti Bolognese.

Aside from this branch, they have 2 upcoming branches that will open before the year ends. So watch out and stay tuned on their announcement!

This is definitely your newest hangout place in Manila. Affordable price and good food and drinks. Our favorite from their food were the Al Pesto Pasta, Cheese Bombs, and Nachos. From their drinks; we loved the Passion Yakult, Thai Milk Tea, and Chocomalt. Actually, all the food they served to us were good. But the one we mentioned just really stand out.

If you’re a frequent visitor to our page, The Hungry Traveler PH, you’ll notice that one of our favorite chicken joint in Manila is 24 Chicken. In this article, we’ll tell you what you should know and why we love this Korean fried chicken.

Did you know that for as low as 85 php, you’ll satisfy your chicken cravings with their flavored chicken? Yes, here in 24 Chicken, they make sure that everyone can afford their quality chicken especially that they are located near in some universities in Manila, U-belt to be specific.

In fact, most of their customers are students. They have budget rice meals available here. You can choose between 2 pcs or their 3 pcs chicken with rice.

2. They have 9 flavors to choose from

3. They are open for take out and delivery

Basically, they are available for take out and delivery only. That’s why many students are their customers who doesn’t have enough time to dine in.

And yes, they are also open for delivery around Manila only with a minimal delivery charge.

4. They now have dining options in some of their branches

Due to popular demand and some of their customers’ request, some of their branches have seating capacity already. We also enjoyed dining at some of their branches.

5. They are eco-friendly

What we also love about this restaurant is that they promoting to use less plastics. They use paper cups and wood chopsticks. Also, they are observing CLAYGO.

Aside from that, they are also using reusable bags. You can get it for free if you avail a whole chicken or buy it for only 20 php. Every time you order and you have their reusable bag, you’ll have a 2 php discount. What a great deal!

6. They have 10 branches up to date

If you are residing in Manila, you don’t have to worry because they have several branches there. And finally, the long wait is over! They now have a branch here in Quezon City.

Rosanjin PH: Unlimited Japanese food for only 399 PHP

There will come a time that eating samgyupsal doesn’t excite you anymore. Can you feel me? Or is it just really me?! LOL. Being a foodie, I need to try and taste new food each and every time. And we’re so happy we had a chance to try an unlimited Japanese food at a very affordable price! Yep, UNLI JAPANESE FOOD. Try to check out Rosanjin PH.

ABOUT ROSANJIN PH

This restaurant is owned by Mr. Kenzaburo Kobayashi that is also a chef. The former location of their restaurant was established in Mandaluyong, but they are relocated along the university belt in Sampaloc, Manila.

They serve authentic Japanese food including ramen, tempura, sushi, tonkatsu, and more. Before I forget, it’s UNLIMITED and it’s only 399 PHP per head.

You can find them inside Laperal Apartment. Upon entering the area, you will notice immediately their place because of the huge space they have and the legit Japanese ambiance of the restaurant.

They also have a bar area located at the back. Also, you can have here unli yakiniku or unli shabu-shabu. Both for 399 PHP per head.

Just a little information, the serving of the food is not that big like the regular ones. But since it’s unlimited, you can refill anytime.

The drinks is also UNLIMITED. Try their Calamansi Juice! So refreshing and good.

They have a discount promo for kids: For 3 ft and below, FREE. For 3 ft to 4 ft, HALF OF THE REGULAR PRICE. Plus, if you’re an INFLUENCER, they have another promo for you. Kindly check the picture for your reference.

Bag O’ Wings: Affordable wings located in Manila

We went to Manila on a Saturday night to have a food trip. We found ourselves entering a food park near UST (University of Sto. Tomas). Well, this food park is called Fusebox Lifestyle Complex. This is located in Laong Laan St. cor. Asturias St., Manila.

Since it’s been so long since we had chicken, we saw this small stall inside the said food park. By the way, what I love about this food park is that each stall is enclosed, not the usual food park we see everywhere. This stall named Bag O’ Wings.

ABOUT BAG O’ WINGS

This is a newly-opened stall that opened last February 2019 and owned by a lovely couple. According to Sir Choy, his wife gave this idea and also the chef here.

What I love about their stall is that they are perfectly located near UST which they target students. So expect the price to be really budget-friendly and affordable. But fret not, even it’s affordable, their food are good and you’ll be surprised because it’s cheap!

To be honest, at first I’m not expecting a lot from their food because of the price posted. It’s really affordable. But after eating, we’re really surprised, happy, and full. The food were good. My personal favorite flavors were the Soy Garlic and Buffalo. About their Salted Egg, Ian told me that the flavor used are real salted eggs, not the usual powder salted eggs. So it’s a plus point for us!

This is really perfect for students too because the price here are very student-friendly. You can have unli wings without breaking your budget too much.

24 Chicken opens another branch in Legarda

Last January 18, 24 Chicken finally had their soft opening in their newest branch at Legarda. Actually, this one is their biggest branch up to date. That’s why I so loved it here!

This was actually my 2nd time trying out their food and I’m really happy about the consistency of the food. If you want to check our first experience at 24 Chicken in P. Noval, read it here.

Since they serve affordable and go-to food, they are really suitable and perfect for students. I think that’s one of the reasons why they are located near to a university or school. Their target is the students who love fast food.

What I loved more about them is that they are eco-friendly. Yes! You read it right. They are observing CLAYGO inside.

Aside from that, they are not using any plastic utensils, instead, they will give you a bamboo chopsticks. You can also purchase their very own eco bag for only 20 php or you can get it free when you order a whole chicken. Every time you go or order at 24 Chicken, bring it with you to have a 2 php discount on your order.

If you’re around Manila or near from any of their branches, they are delivering in selected areas with a fixed 40 php delivery fee/no minimum order. You can also check them out on Grab and HonestBee (delivery fee varies depending on your location).

More seats and space! YAY. You can now dine in. More comfortable because of its bigger space. Now, let’s go to the food. The main event, of course.

We got their 5 basic flavors which are: Original, Lemon Glazed, Spicy BBQ, Jack Daniels, and Yangnyeom.

Another reason why I love their chickens (aside from its juiciness) is you can you have it boneless. Yaaaaas!

MY TOP PICKS:

Spicy BBQ – If you have read my first post about 24 Chicken, Spicy BBQ wasn’t in my list because when we went there, it was already out of stock. HUHU. I promised myself I will try it again and I wasn’t wrong!!! It was super good!!! You can really taste the spiciness and BBQ flavor! The flavor is just that strong and that’s what I liked most about.
Jack Daniels – If you’re not a fan of spicy food, I highly recommend this one. It’s my number 1 pick in my 1st post. Hihi. Sweet and savory flavor. Ughhhh! You can’t get enough of this chicken flavor.

Because I don’t have any complains about their food and service, I just asked them one thing… I really hope that they will open a branch here in QC in the near future. I promise I will visit you everytime I crave for chicken wings. Aside from the quality of the food, it’s really affordable!
