Since the economy is slowly getting back again, some of the restaurants are already starting to reopen too. And this one in Cubao is an example.
The Safe House, is your newest chill place in Cubao. They just opened last week and with its vibrant look, we must say that this place will really come a long way.
NOTES: Due to the community quarantine, they are strictly observing the safety protocols. They are only allowing 50% capacity of the place. You must reserve a slot first before going there.
In our experience, upon entering the place, you must need to confirm first your reservation. After that, you need to fill out a form for contract tracing and a temperature check before you enter the grass area.
NOTE: You need socks if you want to chill at the grass area. If you don’t have any, you can avail some at the counter.
And since it’s also our first time to chill after 7 months of quarantine, we really enjoyed at The Safe House. First, because of the colorful and lively ambiance.
They also have tables and chairs outside the grass area. But unfortunately, since we went there on a rainy weekend, we didn’t have much photos on this area.
At The Safe House, you can either enjoy the live band, watch a movie, or just chill with your family and friends. On the day of our visit, it’s an acoustic-kind-of-night!
And since it’s a bar and grill, we ordered some food and drinks to enjoy the night while enjoying the music.
For the Pica-Pica, we got some kropek, dynamite, chicharong bulaklak, and chicken lollipop.
Cheesy Beef Dynamite (180 php) Kropek (70 php) Chicken Lollipop (250 php) Chicharong Bulaklak (180 php)
For the Sizzlers, we got Dinakdakan and Sisig but we didn’t have any picture of the Sisig because it was consumed immediately. LOL
All that we got were super good. In fact, it’s gone in a few seconds! Especially the Chicharong Bulaklak. LOL
It’s already too late when we realized that they also have rice meals inside. But since our friends didn’t have their dinner yet, they still ordered after eating the pica-pica and sizzlers. HAHA
For the drinks, we got some tower and some bucket.
Bucket of 4 (400 php) Blue Moon (480 php) Cheers!
We also got to try one of the milk tea shop inside The Safe House, which is Tipsy Tea. We tried the milk tea with Baileys, Khalua, and Frangelico. A milk tea and beer combination! Who’s up?

We missed chilling with our friends. But don’t forget to follow the safety protocols. We noticed that all of the tables have an alcohol, a literal alcohol which is good. It’s a reminder that we’re still aware that there’s still a virus. Thank you so much The Safe House for the chill experience! Can’t wait to go back when everything’s normal!

Wow this place was so awesome and nice ate Karla 💕💕 so relaxing tlga at ganda ng pagkaSet up ng mga Things, even nung Pillow sit 💕💕💕 i love it
Wow! reading your blog post made me feel like I wanna go back to Philippines and hang out with my friends. I will definitely visit this place when I get home! I can’t wait to go back home and visit this new tambayan!!!
Everything looks normal there already. I kinda missed the vibe and chilling out like that. Though I must admit, I am still not comfortable outside with the number of cases. Plus I have kids that I need to protect so we still can’t hang out like that. Yun yung nakakamiss. I want to chill out with friends na without the worry.
Yes, iba pa rin yung wala kang inaalala eh no? Di na nga katulad nang dati talaga.
How was the Tipsy Tea? Nakakacurious! Nakita ko na sa mga videos yung milktea and bear combination, I just can’t imagine pero maybe it’s worth the try?
Masarap siya. First sip, milk tea yung malalasahan mo, after that may kick na nung mga beer hehe.
This is like the perfect hangout place for friends!!!! It literally has everything we could ever need to unwind and spend casual time together lang. It sucks lang nakakakatakot pa din lumabas kasi pandemic.
I’m more interested with dinakdakan! Sorry, sobrang laki ng cravings ko for local Filipino foods, served in traditional plates!
Very relaxing naman dito, nakaka-inggit!
Must try yung Dinakdakan hehe
So artsy and very chill this new place you’ve discovered here. I would definitely go here with my friends but with extra careful. Meron ba silang parking for cars?
Yes, meron. Nakalimutan ko pala ilagay. Hehe
Ang cute naman dito! Gusto ko rin matry yung tipsy tea. Low key manginginom haha!
In fairness, masarap! Haha
The place looks FANTASTIC for having a chill night out with friends. Ang sarap tingnan ng food, nakakatakam! Ang layo ko sa Cubao though, but nice that even amidst the pandemic, businesses like these are popping up and thriving!
OMG Ang sarap nung food pics especially the dinakdakan…While I am definitely not yet that comfy with the thought of going out to eat with friends in restos, this is nice if you want to have a break or mini celebration of sorts… It’s also good that there’s some semblance of safety protocols.
